(After Honoka and Yoshika pulled back slightly from Ahmed and Misaki, warm smiles remained filling everyone's faces. Not a trace remained in the house of that tension that hung over it minutes ago; instead, it was replaced by a sense of reassurance and relief.)
Honoka's parents look at each other, then slowly step toward Ahmed. Their steps were hesitant, as if words had become incapable of expressing what they felt.
The father stops in front of Ahmed, then bows out of respect. The mother follows him by bowing as well. Ahmed is surprised by this action, so he quickly bows in return out of respect for them.
The father raises his head, his eyes still wet with tears.
Honoka's Father (in Japanese): "There are no words enough to thank you."
He falls silent for a moment, then continues in a faltering voice:
Honoka's Father: "You saved our two daughters... and gave our family a new chance at life."
The mother nods her head in agreement, then says with a smile blended with tears:
Honoka's Mother: "If you hadn't extended your hand to them at the right time... we might have lost everything."
Ahmed smiles humbly and gently nods his head.
Ahmed: "I only did what I would hope any human being would do if they were in my place."
The mother looks at Misaki and steps toward her.
Honoka's Mother: "And you as well... you didn't leave our two daughters to face the pain alone."
Misaki smiles shyly, then bows respectfully.
Misaki: "We only wanted them to feel that there is someone standing by their side."
The mother is touched by her words, so she opens her arms and gently embraces Misaki.
At the same time, the father approaches Ahmed, places his hands on his shoulders, then gives him a brief embrace filled with gratitude. Ahmed kindly pats his back, out of respect for his feelings.
The principal watches this scene, a calm smile appearing on his face.
Principal: "Today... not only was a family issue resolved."
Everyone turns to him.
Principal: "Rather, bonds of trust and respect were born among you that will not easily be forgotten."
Everyone nods their heads in agreement.
And at that moment, Honoka looks at Ahmed once again. Her eyes held a deep gratitude, as if she wanted to say something that had remained trapped in her heart all this time.
She takes a deep breath... and takes a step toward him. As for Yoshika, she smiles as well and hurries behind her sister.
