Chapter 121 - The truth is spreading far and wide(part120)

(The studio lights turned on all at once...)

A powerful white light reflected on the faces sitting before the cameras. Everything seemed larger than they had imagined. The screens. The lenses. The extended wires. And the silence preceding the broadcast... was heavier than any noise.

Honoka sat in the middle. Little Yoshika was by her side, gripping the edge of her sleeve tightly. Misaki was on her left, her features calm despite the tension hiding in her eyes.

As for Ahmed... he sat slightly in front of them, his back straight, his gaze steady. But his hand, resting on his knee... was clenched tightly.

(Even he... was afraid.)

The countdown appeared on the big screen:

5…

4…

3…

2…

1…

Then—the live broadcast began.

The Broadcast

(The host smiled a faint, professional smile before his features turned serious)

The Host:

"Viewers... Tonight, we present to you the full truth behind the video that shook Japan and the world."

The camera panned slowly... and settled on Ahmed. A short silence fell. Then, he began.

Ahmed (in a calm but clear voice):

"What people watched... was not just a sensational video."

He paused for a moment, looking directly into the camera.

"It was a moment of true despair. A moment when a girl was about to lose her life... because the world around her chose to hurt her instead of hearing her."

A heavy silence filled the studio. He continued:

"Today... we are not here to ask for pity. We are here... to speak the truth."

(The camera turned toward Honoka)

Her breath hitched instantly. Her fingers froze. She felt the words stuck in her throat.

(I can't...)

But—she raised her eyes. They met Ahmed's eyes. Then Misaki's. Two steady, quiet looks saying to her without words: "We are here."

She swallowed hard. Then she began.

Honoka (in a trembling voice):

"At first... it was just words. Laughter. Whispers. Looks."

She lowered her head slightly.

"I told myself I could endure it."

Her voice shook.

"But they didn't stop."

A faint sob escaped her, and tears began to pool in her eyes.

"Every day... I felt smaller. Weaker. Less valuable."

(Silence prevailed...)

Even the host himself did not interrupt her. She raised her head with difficulty, her eyes streaming with tears.

"And on that day..."

She paused. Her lips trembled. Then she whispered:

"I thought my disappearance... would be easier on everyone."

(Millions of viewers held their breath)

But she wasn't done. She wiped her tears, then continued in a firmer voice:

"Briefly..."

She turned toward Ahmed.

"Someone refused to let me fall. Someone risked his life... to save me."

Then she turned toward Misaki.

"And someone stood by me... when I thought I was alone."

A tearful sob broke from her.

"For the first time... I felt that my life was worth saving."

The Voices of Support

(The camera moved to Misaki)

She took a slow breath, then spoke.

Misaki:

"Honoka wasn't weak. She was forced to carry a pain larger than her age."

She looked toward the camera, her eyes filling with resolve.

"Bullying doesn't start with a blow. It starts with a word. With mockery. With ignoring. With a hurtful smile."

She paused, then said:

"And if we ignore it... it might end in tragedy."

She lowered her voice slightly.

"I saw Ahmed jump without hesitation. And at that moment... I understood something."

She looked at Ahmed, a faint smile appearing on her lips.

"Some people don't save others because they are heroes. But because their hearts don't know how to abandon."

Yoshika's Plea

(Then... the camera turned to Yoshika)

She looked so tiny before all those bright lights. She held her breath, then gripped her sister's hand tightly, her eyes welling with tears.

Yoshika (in a broken voice):

"I..."

She stopped, then burst into tears.

"I don't want my sister to disappear."

Her voice dropped even lower.

"I want her to laugh. To live. To stay with me."

She sobbed, then looked directly into the camera. She said in a voice mixed with crying and pleading:

"Please... don't hurt anyone until they wish for death."

The Aftermath

(At that moment...)

Silence reigned. Even inside the control room. Even behind the cameras. Even the host... lowered his head, deeply moved.

(Then the camera panned slowly back to Ahmed)

His eyes were steady, but he looked different. Quieter. Stronger. He said in a low voice... but the whole world heard him:

"The truth doesn't need to be screamed. It is enough to be spoken with sincerity."

(The broadcast ended...)

But its impact did not. Within minutes, the platforms were flooded with messages. Thousands... then millions. Sympathy. Anger. Tears. And calls for accountability.

The whole world... started to hear.

(And when they left the studio...)

Exhaustion was clear on their faces. But for the first time in a long time—there was no fear in Honoka's eyes. Instead, there was something else. Hope.

(On their way back...)

They passed by a large supermarket. Ahmed stopped suddenly. He turned to them, then smiled a warm smile.

Ahmed:

"I think... you girls deserve an exceptional dinner tonight."

Yoshika's eyes widened instantly. And here...
