Chapter 48 - A wager of hearts(part49)

(The school morning was different. Today was the trial match that Ahmed had been waiting for since yesterday. The atmosphere was full of excitement, students were talking about the match, and the field looked as if it was preparing for something bigger than just an ordinary match. And as Ahmed walked with steady steps toward the field, Misaki appeared in front of him, with strange features he was not used to. Her smile this time was not innocent or ordinary... but a wicked smile, carrying a hint of challenge and daring.)

She stopped in front of him, raised her eyes to him with confidence, then said in Japanese, her tone filled with playfully toying with the strings of his heart:

"Ahmed-kun... I have a bet with you. If you lose today... you will show me something specific. I want you to reveal all the muscles of your body to me. All of them... without exception."

(Ahmed froze for a few seconds, not immediately comprehending what he heard. He looked at her in a daze, his eyes widened, and his chest rose and fell quickly. How could she say this so simply in front of him?! He felt the ground shaking under his feet, and the blood rushed to his face so quickly that he smiled an awkward, unintentional smile.)

But Misaki did not stop. Instead, she leaned forward slightly, her smile widening, before adding in a faint but bold voice:

"But if you win... I will undress in front of you."

(At that moment, silence struck the place. As if the air had stopped moving. Her words penetrated Ahmed's ears like a lightning bolt. His entire body froze, his eyes moved slowly as he tried to make sure he had heard her correctly. He felt a heat burning his face all the way to his ears, and his hands trembled unconsciously. He could not utter a single word, for everything inside him was a storm of embarrassment, and a curiosity he did not know how to curb.)

Was she joking? Or did she sincerely mean what she said?

Ahmed was swallowing with difficulty, his heart pounding like war drums. He wanted to respond but didn't know how; all the words had disappeared from his dictionary.

Meanwhile, she was looking at him with an artificial coolness, her calm smile revealing a hidden pleasure as she saw his obvious embarrassment. She knew she had won the round before the match had even begun.
