The garage smelled faintly of gasoline and metal, mixed with the faint tang of burnt rubber. Night Rider leaned casually against his bike, surveying the four shadows as they gathered in a loose circle around Dax. Switch bounced on her heels, a perpetual ball of energy, while Raven stayed still, silent as always, her eyes scanning every corner of the room. Zane, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, smirked at the rest of the group, clearly entertained by the tension in the air.
Dax's voice broke the quiet. "We need to talk about them again." He gestured toward a crude map pinned to the wall. "The other group of riders, the one's everyone's been complaining about."
Night Rider hoped of his bike "Redevils." he said simply, the name carrying weight. "They ride without purpose. They give the city a bad image on rebels, they destroy property, and make it harder for people like us trying to make a change."
Switch rolled her eyes. "They're loud, messy, and over confident. They can barely ride properly, and they act like they own the streets."
"They vandalize the protected side" Raven added quietly, "and cause trouble just for the fun of it. They don't care about the consequences. They ride only to cause trouble."
Night rider nodded slowly. "Our group isn't perfect. We get into trouble, sure, but we ride with a purpose, remember that. Every time we take the streets, it's for something bigger, it's for the people down here. They ride just to feel alive, and it's making our cause sound even more impossible."
Zane snorted. "They mock anyone trying to do the right thing, I know I'm not one to be talking. But their leader thinks life is only about vandalizing, destruction, and proving who's tougher."
Night Rider sighed. "That's why we need to be better. Our group isn't just about speed or tricks. We're about purpose, just do you're job and keep your groups controlled, we need to make the city see the difference."
Meanwhile, at the police station, Kai and Eli were reviewing patrol assignments. Their supervisor looked serious. "You'll be patrolling the north side. There's been a lot of issues there lately especially involving graffiti, and remember this is where that other rebel group hangs out. so good luck and make sure to watch for vandalism or other suspicious behavior."
Driving into the northern edge of the south side, tension rose like static electricity. Eyes followed them from windows and doorways. Whispers drifted on the wind. Then, a brick struck the side of their car with a sharp crack.
"Let's get him," Eli said, gripping the wheel.
Kai nodded, accelerating, but the suspect was fast, ducking down narrow alleys and tossing debris at them. The chase turned into a foot pursuit, weaving through tight alleys and backstreets. The alleyway twisted, and soon, Kai and Eli feel for his trap, they were surrounded. The chased rebel smirked, flanked by a dozen more from the group. Before they could react, a blow struck Kai from behind. sending him sprawling.
Eli froze for a moment, panic rising, then scrambled to help. But the group quickly overpowered him and dragged them both into a dim, abandoned building. The room reeked of damp concrete and stale air.
Kai struggled against his restraints, his jaw tight "You think this intimidates me? I'll kick all your asses."
The beatings were relentless. Every punch and kick was punishment for daring to interfere with their "art". Kai's sharp tongue earned him lots of extra hits, and Eli flinched as he watched his friend crumple.
Amid the chaos, Eli's hand brushed the grip of his gun, forgotten by their attackers. With a quick motion, he freed himself and leveled the gun at the nearest assailant. "Let us go. Now, or I'll shoot," he shouted.
The threat worked. The group stepped back, muttering curses. Kai and Eli bolted, bruised but alive, sprinting back to the station. Kai was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment.
Later, Mira arrived, furious. "I can't believe that group would do that!"
determined to understand more, she went to the hidden mechanic shop where Night Rider's group worked. Dax and Switch were there, tinkering with bikes.
"Where's Night Rider?" Mira asked, concern in her voice.
"He's out riding with Raven," Dax replied. Mira's eyes narrowed. "I need to know about that rebel group that hangs out up north."
"They're called the Redevils," Dax explained. "Night Rider has had conflicts with their leader since school. They don't get along, and they're exactly as you probably heard reckless, dangerous, and a real threat."
Back at the cafe. Eli arrived, slightly smiling. "Kai's good now. He'll be put tomorrow."
Mira exhaled. "That's a relief. But it also made me realize... Not all rebels are like Night Rider's group."
