CHAPTER 27: THE CHANGE IN THE DIFFERENT SEASONS PART 3
While Adrián left. He looked at his older brother Ma, still a little dejected, but he started to feed the animals.
I hoped that this matter would soon be resolved.
It didn't take long for him to get to the apothecary Gu.
When he arrived there was a girl dressed in rags next to him.
"I'll introduce you, she's Bai Guoer, her parents left her to me as a pledge for some pills, I wanted to sell her, but I've seen great value in her, if you like she will help you in everything you ask, well, now let's move on to the back."
Apothecary Gu followed smiling all the way, the girl named Bai Guoer just greeted Adrian with a lot of respect.
When Adrian entered the back of the store, the medicinal smell entered through his nostrils, it was much stronger in this place, while he found many plants, which he quickly recognized.
"A green plant without any leaves, two plants with jade embedded inside, a whirlpool of spectral wind" – Adrián began to name the strangest ones he could see with the naked eye.
Apothecary Gu was happy about his collection, it wasn't the biggest, but he had put a lot of effort into collecting them.
The deeper he went the more plants there were, Adrian could tell the names of each one of them, but this was shocking to him.
"Well we arrived" – At the end of the hall, there were several pots, many of them bright as day, others had strange shapes, however, the medicinal smell of this place was too strong.
"Here, you will learn how to make all kinds of pills, I will charge you for the materials, any plant you choose I will charge you separately, just like these pots, I hope you have brought enough money." – After getting this far, the apothecary Gu brought out his merchant side.
After all, nothing was free in this life.
After thinking about it for a while, Adrian threw a bag filled with five thousand coins.
"That will cover two months of studies" – Adrián spoke, he really wasn't as rich as he thought, now he only had about ten thousand coins more. But he had to do everything he could to be able to make pills.
Otherwise, his body would suffer every time he cultivated.
Apothecary Gu offered a smile, as he offered him a pot where he could practice.
He sat next to him, while ordering Bai Guoer to bring different kinds of plants, among other things.
"Let's start, the important thing before making a pill, is to heat the pot to its ideal point, there are several things that can make fire, the better the fuel, the better the fuel, you can refine better level pills, for low-level pills, these woods that can produce three distinct fires is enough" – When I speak, Bai Guoer voted the wood under the pot, then he lit it, a three-colored fire began to light up the place.
"I will also charge you for this wood, although you already know that"
"Once the flame is controlled, you can put each of the ingredients in, but you must always find the right balance, see if you put one more portion of this plant, the pill will explode, and if you put some of this purifying sand, the pill will be of a lower level, everything should be in a balance." – Then Apothecary Gu continued to explain the concept of each of the ingredients he put in the pot.
Bai Guoer seemed to be already used to the rhythm of making pills from Apothecary Gu, so she was efficient when it came to bringing plants and ingredients.
Now Adrian understood why he couldn't make pills, he needed the materials, and more importantly he needed a constant fire, as well as a pot that could withstand such a fire.
Or so he thought, after all he already had the knowledge in his head.
After about two hours, the pot began to vote medicinal smoke, when the lid came off on its own, Apothecary Gu grabbed a pill the size of a marble with one hand.
"And so pills are made" – He was proud of his teaching method, although he was a low-level alchemist, he was the only one who could quickly and concisely make such pills.
"Try everything you want, and if you want me to take another class, I'll charge you extra, Bai Guoer will help you with everything you need, I'll go and tend to my shop." – Apothecary Gu left as fast as he could.
It seemed that he was not afraid that Adrian would steal something, or he was calm since he knew that he could not escape.
Adrian began by accurately remembering every ingredient that Apothecary Gu put in the pot.
"Bai Guoer, I can call you that."
"Everyone calls me Bai Guoer, although I feel more comfortable just with Bai's name"
"I understand" – After some thought, Adrian started naming all the ingredients on his list of pills he wanted to make. After all, more than twenty prescriptions for pills had been engraved in his head, some were low-level, while others were medium-level.
Bai Guoer was his age, and just like him was a slave, only Adrian, she had the possibility to escape whenever he wanted.
"Let's get started" – After Bai Guoer gave him all the ingredients, Adrian began to prepare to make pills.
