Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Senjutsu

To practice ninjutsu, one first needed to understand their chakra nature. But since Ranmo hadn't discovered his yet, he wasn't in a rush to train ninjutsu. Instead, he focused on building physical strength, hoping to form chakra naturally through effort.

The system's growth was slow, but for Hyuga Ranmo, this was hope. And hope—no matter how small—was better than nothing.

He had to grow stronger quickly.

He had killed Orochimaru in a brutal and humiliating way. A man like him wouldn't stay dead forever. Orochimaru was far too dangerous. If he ever returned, and Ranmo wasn't strong enough, he wouldn't even know how he died.

Then there was Danzo, whom he'd seen on the Hokage Rock. Judging by that man's expression, he was definitely suspicious. Danzo was collaborating with Orochimaru—if he found out Orochimaru was dead, Ranmo would be the first suspect. He wouldn't let Ranmo walk free.

And what if Madara ever learned he possessed a Hidden Rinnegan?

He'd be hunted like prey.

So many dangers surrounded him like ticking time bombs. If he wanted to survive, he had to become stronger—fast.

Ranmo didn't sleep that night.

All through the darkness, he trained his body. Only when the sun rose—and his eyes went blind again—did he stop and switch to mental focus training.

To extract chakra, one had to draw physical energy from the 130 trillion cells in the human body and fuse it with spiritual energy. When mixed properly, it formed chakra.

Ranmo sat cross-legged, eyes closed, quietly sensing the space around him.

Then, a strange force began converging on him—light from all directions flooded toward his body.

But this wasn't coming from his own spirit.

"Kid, that's not going to work."

A sudden voice startled Ranmo. He turned toward the window. Though he couldn't see anything with his eyes, the Mirror System displayed the scene directly into his mind.

There, perched on the windowsill, was an elderly toad in a small cloak, snow-white brows and beard twitching slightly.

It was none other than Fukasaku, the elder sage of Mount Myōboku.

"You can't train like that in the human world," Fukasaku said gently. "Senjutsu is incredibly tricky here. Besides, you haven't even formed your chakra yet, have you? That's dangerous stuff.

"The natural energy here is filthy and chaotic. If you absorb it now, your body could mutate. You might turn into a bug, a moth, a grasshopper, or even an ant. Unless that sounds fun to you, I suggest you stop messing with nature chakra—it's far too risky."

Ranmo froze in place.

"I mean it," Fukasaku continued. "Sage Arts aren't for just anyone. And you? You can't even mold chakra yet. If you ask me, you'd be better off living a simple, peaceful life. That's worth more than any jutsu."

After those words, the old toad gave him one last long look, shook his head slightly, and leapt off—vanishing without a trace.

He hadn't planned to stop here.

Fukasaku had come to attend the Fourth Hokage's funeral. But as he entered the village, he noticed an unusual flow of natural chakra, all streaming toward a single point.

Curious, he followed the trail—only to find a small child sitting in his home, absorbing it.

And that child didn't even have chakra.

A chakra-less boy absorbing nature chakra…

Even for Fukasaku, who had lived for centuries—this was a first.
