While the frenzy for both the Nova Medical Centers and the Space Station Research Zones went on, the rest of the world — the ordinary public, the people who would never lease a research zone or submit a parcel of land — was having its own conversations.
Two of them, mostly, and though they circled different things, they came in the end to the same place.
The first was about the staffing. Nobody had seen a recruitment announcement yet — Nova had released nothing about who it would hire or on what terms — but the criteria for the centers had been published, and the criteria alone were enough to set the medical world alight. Because people could see the scale of what was coming.
A facility on the land Nova was demanding, serving a whole region, running around the clock — that was not a clinic. That was a city's worth of medicine, and a city's worth of medicine needed staff. Thousands of them.
