The audition finally stopped.The three teachers finally left and left the work to the a member of Supreme Student Council.The student who handled them led them to an empty room.Out of 25 students who auditioned only 7 got in and there's only one male and it was unexpectedly Henry.
"The 7 of you have to be divided into two groups but since it's an odd number, we decided to let you guys pick a group number.The rolled papers inside the bowl are 20 in total so don't worry.It's either you'd pick group 1 or group 2.",
The 7 of of them line up in a table and began to pick their numbers.When Lia grabbed a random rolled paper, she went back to her seat and opened the paper.She saw a number '2'.She's in group 2.
When the student council saw everyone already finished grabbing a random rolled paper, she began to instruct.
"Okay.The group 1 will go on your right side and the group 2 will go on your the left side."
Lia stood up and went to the left side.She saw there was only a Henry who came to the left side.Lia cried inside of her heart.There's only two of them!The rest are in group 1!
The girl at the right side felt sad and disappointed.Henry, the handsome son of the richest family in upper class was not in their group.They envy Lia.Lia is too lucky and there's only two of them!Lia can own Henry alone!
"So guys.The theme of this competition is lightness versus darkness.One group will be the light and the other group will be the dark.Please choose a representative to be here at this table and choose their theme.It will still be the same picking a random rolled paper."
Lia looked at the Henry.Henry smiled at her sweetly.
"Destiny really brought us together.You should be the representative, darling.Go."
Lia was speechless.Henry is flirting with her!She suddenly felt awkward.Lia doesn't want to be the representative but she doesn't want to take too much time and trouble the others so she stood up and went to the table.
Lia let the group 1 representative went ahead and chose her paper out of the two rolled paper.Lia took the left rolled paper and opened it.She saw the word 'darkness' written.
The student handling them took the papers back.
"So the theme of group 1 is lightness and the theme of group two is darkness.The group can choose a type of music or write a music that is within their selected theme.The students will be given 13 days to practice from now and the date of blocking will be on the 14th day from now.About the competition date and the release of costume budget and props budget, I will further update you guys to our group chat.You can join the group chat through scanning the code or through the link in this bondpaper.I will leave the bondpaper on the table.Is there any clarification?", the student handling them asked.
"Can we choose to hire a writer?", a girl from group 1 asked.
"Yes.You can hire a song writer.Is there any clarification?"
The students were silent.
"None?Okay!You can get to know each other and use the remaining time for your meeting!I'll go now!Good luck guys!"
"Let's have a meeting at the cafeteria.", Henry told Lia and stood up.Lia followed him out of the room.When they went to the cafeteria, the two of them bought some snacks.
Lia bought a takoyaki and siomai and hotdog in buns while Henry bought a slice of strawberry cake and iced coffee.
When they arrived at the table Henry began to talk.
"I never really thought fate brought us together.I was supposed to join the battle of the bands but when I heard you signed to join the audition of K-pop, I really followed you.I feel like I was in seventh heaven when I saw you were in a same group as me.There's also only two of us!I'm so happy!", Henry talked comfortably which made Lia speechless.
"Anyways what's the plan? There's only two of us and the opposite gender.Darkness.I can't think of anything.We could be a lover or something in the music but love is within the theme of light.Do you have any ideas?Are you a K-pop fan?I'm a K-pop fan but I never encountered a K-pop song duet that fits within the theme of darkness.", Henry talked.
Lia shook her head."I also haven't encountered a duet song that's dark.Even in collabs, I haven't encountered one.I'm also a K-pop fan.How about we'll list down ideas and choose now.I can write a song."
Henry was surprised."You can write a song too?!Wow how about we'll write a song together?Yes!I think this will be easier! Let's write our ideas within 10 minutes!!", he said.
When Henry finally thought of an idea, Lia likes the idea and she also felt excited deep inside her heart but she's worried about the choreography.
"What about the choreography?", she asked.
"Don't worry.We'll think about this later after we create the music.How you go to my house tonight you can stay there.Not to brag but I have a lot of instruments there.We can I create the music there.You can bring your brother with you.If it's possible,I want you to stay the night.We only have 13 days to practice."
Lia was silent.13 days is indeed not enough for the two of them to practice.
"I will talk to my brother."
"Do you have something to do now?We can go to my house now.It's only 2 pm."
Lia looked at clock of her phone lock screen.
"I'll call my brother.", Lia said and dialed her brother's phone number.Her brother answered.She turned on the volume speaker so Henry can hear it.
"Brother.I passed the audition and we only have 13 days to practice.I want to go to my partner's house now so we can write a song together.If it's possible, I want to sleep there tonight.Is that okay?", she asked.
"Okay.Just send me the address.Xavier will get you there at 7pm.I have a practice in battle of the band tonight.You're not sleeping there, okay?I'm not allowing you.", Naftali firmly said.
Lia sighed.Her brother is too overprotective.
"Okay.", she agreed.
Lia looked at Henry and said, "Let's go."
Lia and Henry arrived at the penthouse unit of Richardson family and she was welcomed by Mrs. Richardson's sweet smile.
"Lia, welcome!I'm so surprised my son brought you here!I never thought you knew music.I saw your video singing online.", Mrs. Richardson said while leading the way.
Lia was baffled.She doesn't know anything about her singing video.
"Online video?", she asked.
"Yes!Your voice is so good!I'm so happy my son managed to be your partner!Ah!What luck!", Mrs. Richardson exclaimed.
"Here we are.This is where my son used to write songs.I'll prepare some foods for the two of you!Good luck!I'll leave the two of you here.", Mrs. Richardson said and left the two of them at the spacious room.There's a computer, microphone and other professional instruments inside the room.Lia was fascinated at the sight of the room.
"Let's start.", Henry said.
At 7pm Xavier arrived.The location was just at the few lower floors of their penthouse.Xavier was greeted by Mrs. Richardson when she opened the door for him.
"You must be Lia's friend!Come!Lia was still busy writing a song together with my son though.I'll take you there!"
Xavier frowned.
"Son?", he asked Mrs. Richardson as if he had heard her words just now wrongly.He thought Lia was with other girls writing a song but why does this woman in from of him leading the way telling him that Lia is with her son?
"Yes!Son!Lia's with my son.Ah, here you go.They are inside.", Mrs. Richardson said with a smile.
Xavier saw Lia sitting in front of a computer while a man was sitting in front of an organ with headphones.Both of Lia and him seems to be busy writing.He looked around and only see the two of them.His heart grew colder.
Lia wearing headphones looked at her back when someone from the back made her swivel chair turn around slightly.
She met Xavier's eyes coldly looking down at her.Lia removed her headphones and looked at him.
"You're here.", she uttered.
Lia stood up from her seat and poked the back of the unaware Henry listening to music with headphones.
Henry looked at Lia and saw Xavier.He immediately removed his headphones.He looked at Lia.
Lia smiled at Henry and Xavier caught Lia's unexpected friendly smile.A slight displeasure can be seen in this face while his jaw tightened.
"We are going now.Xavier is here.Let's continue tomorrow.", Lia said.
"We are going now, Mrs. Richardson.Thank you.", Lia said politely and Mrs. Richardson just chuckled and walked with them.Henry also followed until they got into the exit door.When they got out Lia politely smiled before turning away and leave.Xavier was already walking a few meters away from her.He also didn't even bother to say goodbye and thanked the Richardson family.
Lia ran and followed Xavier but Xavier's stride is too large.She couldn't keep up.
"Xavier, wait!"
She felt like something is wrong and that Xavier is being too cold unlike his calm nature.He is not approachable.His eyes are cold and his jaw is tightened.She chased Xavier towards the elevator.When she got it, she sighed in relief.
She looked at Xavier.
"Are you angry?", she worriedly asked.
She waited for Xavier to answer but he didn't answer and didn't even bother to look at her.Lia felt her heart trembled.Xavier is being too cold.She doesn't know why he's being cold to her.Did she do something wrong?
"Did I do something wrong?", she decided to ask but Xavier still didn't answer her.
Lia bit her lower lip.She doesn't like him being like this.She felt uncomfortable and scared.It feels like she really did something wrong and she doesn't know where and how.
Lia gently tugged Xavier's shirt.
"Lur?", she asked.
Xavier's heart trembled and his firm jaw tightened jaw weakened for a moment.Lur.The nickname she created for him.He then again remembered something and his jaw tightened again.
Lia felt helpless and let go of Xavier's shirt with her weak hands dropping.She realized Xavier is too firm.She really did something wrong and made him angry.What baffled her is that she doesn't know where she did something wrong.
They arrived at the penthouse.Xavier didn't bother to look at her and just went to his bedroom leaving Lia alone.
The following morning came.Lia got out of her room early with a casual long sleeve dress and comfortable flat shoes.Lia went to find the others but she only saw Xavier in the living room.Xavier is sipping a tea in a cup while sitting on a sofa.Lia walking towards him.
When Xavier saw Lia, he frowned and looked at her coldly and put the cup on the table down.
Lia felt his cold gaze but she didn't mind it and just told him her purpose.
"I'm going out to his house again.Please tell my brother.", Lia said softly.
She waited for Xavier to respond but he didn't respond.Xavier eyes her dress and frowned.Lia awkwardly turned around when she got no response and was about to leave but Xavier reached her hand.
Lia looked at Xavier and saw his cold eyes softened.He also couldn't look at her.His eyes looked vulnerable making Lia froze.She had never seen Xavier in a vulnerable state.
"Do you really have to go?"
