Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Kang Watches, Strange Warns

---

Kamar-Taj – Midnight

The ancient temple walls trembled as cosmic winds howled through the mirror dimension. Inside the sanctum, Doctor Stephen Strange hovered mid-air, eyes closed, hands glowing with orange runes as he peered through the streams of time.

Every path he followed, every thread of reality… led to one name:

Ron.

He opened his eyes abruptly, gasping.

Wong stepped forward, brow furrowed. "What did you see?"

Strange hesitated. "Power that defies fixed reality. A system… constantly doubling, feeding on itself. He's become something not even the Time Stone could've predicted."

Wong looked troubled. "Is he a threat?"

Strange floated to the ground. "That's the problem. I can't tell. In most timelines, he saves the multiverse. In others…"

He looked up, eyes grim. "He becomes it."

---

New Eden – Throne Hall

Ron was overseeing the final phase of integrating Wakandan vibranium with his infinite summoning core. New Eden's skyscrapers now floated, powered by clean energy, surrounded by fields of white-armored human summons.

Natasha approached. "Visitors."

Ron turned—and the air bent.

Doctor Strange stepped out of a portal, cloak swirling. Beside him was Wong, staff in hand.

"Stephen Strange," Ron greeted calmly. "I expected you sooner."

"I was watching," Strange replied. "But now I need to act."

Ron raised an eyebrow. "Warning or threat?"

Strange didn't blink. "Both."

The Private Chamber

Away from the throne room, the four men sat. Aria remained outside, watching every shift in energy.

"You've gained power beyond comprehension," Wong began. "That alone puts the multiverse at risk."

Ron poured tea calmly. "I didn't ask for this. I died. Got betrayed. Then woke up with a system. I've only used it to protect and uplift."

Strange leaned in. "I've seen futures where you reshape the stars… and others where you burn them."

Ron's gaze hardened. "What do you want me to do? Sit still while people suffer? Play puppet to cosmic 'balance'?"

"No," Strange said. "But know this—your existence is pulling attention."

"Kang," Ron stated flatly.

Strange nodded. "And more. The Living Tribunal has turned one of its eyes. The Watcher is no longer just watching. Even Galactus pauses when he sees your wave."

Ron smirked. "Good. Let them all come."

Strange sighed. "You're powerful. Maybe unstoppable. But don't forget—power bends timelines. And when timelines bend too far… they break."

Ron stood, and in that moment, even Wong stepped back.

"I'm not here to destroy the multiverse, Strange. I'm here to perfect it."

He held out his hand. A globe of pure energy shimmered—inside it, thousands of universes, each peacefully coexisting under Ron's protection.

"This is what I'll create. Call it ego. Call it madness. I call it justice."

Strange stared for a moment, then slowly stood.

"I pray you're right."

Elsewhere – Chronopolis

In the city outside of time, Kang the Conqueror stood before a viewing gate. Multiple timelines played before him like a slideshow of infinite chaos.

One showed Ron battling Celestials and winning.

Another showed him kneeling… to no one.

And one showed nothing—only white.

"Too unstable," Kang muttered. "Too infinite."

A variant of Kang stepped forward. "Shall we erase him?"

Kang turned with a sly smile. "No. That would only accelerate his growth."

He raised a device glowing with green and gold energy.

"We trap him. Split the timelines. Scatter his system."

The other Kangs nodded.

"Prepare Phase Zero."

Meanwhile – In the Shadows of the Universe

A woman watched from a crumbling asteroid, eyes glowing crimson.

Wanda Maximoff.

"The Infinite One…" she whispered. "You think you can fix reality?"

A broken Darkhold floated beside her, pages flickering in reverse.

"Let's see how you handle chaos."
