Chapter 1 - The Sages’ Body

New World — Somewhere at Sea

The sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow across the rolling waves.

A massive pirate ship surged through the sea, churning water in its wake. On deck, a group of pirates lounged around, drinking and laughing loudly.

"Hahaha! Captain, we hit the jackpot this time! That merchant ship had a Devil Fruit onboard. If we sell it, we'll make a fortune!" one of them shouted.

"Yeah, but that ship had some serious muscle protecting it. We lost a few brothers in the fight. Still… it was worth it, got a pile of jewels and that fruit."

"Heh, can't believe the merchant's bodyguard forced our captain to step in personally. Doesn't he know who he's dealing with? Our captain's got a 300 million bounty! Everyone in the New World knows his name!"

In the middle of the crowd stood Captain Anos, a notorious pirate with a bounty of 300 million Berries, He had the gaze of someone with nothing to lose cruel, confident, and very dangerous.

"Enough chatter," Anos said, grinning. "We'll trade the Devil Fruit for a fat payday. Then we'll live like kings for a while."

"Praise to our mighty Captain!!!"

"Our mighty Captain!!!"

"Mighty Captain!!!"

The men shouted in unison, their morale high.

Just then, the lookout at the helm called out, "Captain! Small boat spotted ahead!"

"A small boat?" Anos frowned. "Do I need to be bothered over every little thing?"

"Understood, Captain!" the pirate saluted nervously, then barked, "Load the cannons! And sink that thing!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The ship's cannons roared to life. Black cannonballs tore through the sky toward the tiny boat.

And in that moment—

A figure leapt from the boat, with his sword in hand, and sliced every cannonball clean out of the air.

Boom!!!

The shells exploded in midair, black smoke clouding the sky.

The figure landed gently back on the boat. He rubbed his temple and muttered, "Man… I've barely gotten any sleep since I set sail."

His name was Ayr, and he was a transmigrator.

Half a year ago, he died, but then he woke up in a world covered in water and teeming with pirates. It didn't take long for him to realize: this wasn't the era of Luffy, or even Roger.

This was the Rocks era—

A brutal time where only the strongest survived, it was more dangerous than any age Ayr had seen in the anime

And the only reason he'd even set sail was because, like many transmigrators before him, he had a cheat system.

🔹 Sage System: Status Screen

Host: Ayr

Abilities:

• Armament Haki – 900 / 1000

• Observation Haki – 900 / 1000

• Conqueror's Haki – 700 / 1000

Special Ability:

• Sage Body – 950 / 1000 (Primary Ability)

• Progress increases through training or combat.

• When maxed, Sage Body evolves—enhancing strength, stamina, and recovery. Also unlocks a special lottery reward.

• Sage Eye (Locked)

• Nine Tailed Beast Binding (Locked)

Ayr had received his Haki from the system's beginner package, it didn't just hand him power—it straight up uploaded the perfect training methods directly into his brain.

Thanks to that, after just one year, he was on the verge of mastering both Armament and Observation Haki. Conqueror's Haki lagged slightly, since it relied more on spiritual growth.

But Ayr's real edge was the Sage Body.

Back when he first crossed over, the system gave him a choice:

• Sage Body

• Sage Eyes

After a bit of contemplation, he chose the Sage Body.

In the world of One Piece, the raw physical power and endurance of every person made setting sail with his unordinarily soft body a death sentence. The Sage Body gave him a monstrous physique, rapid healing, and elite-level physical skills.

Right now, his toughness was like young Big Mom's—bullets barely scratched him, and even cannonballs were just a mild annoyance.

His recovery rate was already comparable to ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruits, and the stronger his Sage Body grew, the tougher he'd become.

As a result the Sages' Eyes were still locked, but Ayr knew from its description and his memory of the show just how terrifying the Rinnegan's godlike power could be.

He hadn't bound any Tailed beast either—because he needed a Devil Fruit to unlock that, Which is exactly why he was out at sea.

Searching, hunting and waiting.

Devil Fruits were rare—one of the most coveted treasures on the ocean. But if he found the right ones, and started binding the Nine tails…

His power would rise to heights never seen before.

Ayr stood on the bow of his boat, blade at his side, eyes fixed on the pirate ship ahead.

Tap.

He leapt forward and landed smoothly on their deck.
