Looking and feeling his body parts, he seemed to have been reincarnated into a 12-year-old boy. 2 years younger than he originally was on Earth, something was different though...His ears were pointy!!
"How could that be? Did I not reincarnate as a human!?"
He looked around, it seems that everyone had pointy ears, so then what species of monster was he and the people around him? Definitely not human, that's for sure. Just then he heard a man speak in a tough tone talking to another person, well actually a pointy eared monster. Kuro couldn't hear exactly what the man was saying but he did catch onto a few words which were " get lost ", "don't touch me ", and "elf". Well, that solve the 'what monster are we' question for Kuro. The person that was hugging him was probably his mother as everyone else was in their own cage; they were together.
"Am I a slave?" Kuro thought.
I mean, it was quite obvious. He was wearing some old clothes, filled with stains and holes that felt like they were rotting from their prime form. Similarly, Kuro was also quite dirty and unhealthily slim, but not too slim.
"I need to get out of here. But how...? I'm surrounded by these rusty, gloomy bars and there's this woman who's supposed to be the original body's owner's mother" Kuro thought.
And he did so for a long time, until he found a solution!
After a few hours, the darkness blanketed the light, and his 'mother' was asleep. It was the perfect time to escape. His 'mother' had a hairpin in her hair which meant he could lockpick the lock and escape. The next moment, Kuro did exactly what you just read. Kuro tried to as quiet as he could to make sure no noise reached anyone's ears. He tried to lockpick the lock but then it struck him. He doesn't know how to lockpick! He tried his luck but just couldn't unlock the lock...
"Am I really going to stay here for the rest of my 2nd life... I thought that unknown man took a liking to me"
[All hope was lost. What was he going to do? How will he get out? Why me? Those were all questions Kuro thought to himself while you are reading this]
"Huh? who said that? Am I going crazy that I think someone just said my thoughts out loud. Is this what birds think when they are in cages" Kuro thought

A second later, Kuro heard someone come over! Kuro closed his eyes pretending to sleep.
"Who is it?" thought Kuro
[Beats me, open your eyes and find out yourself.]
"What the... It's that voice again. Wait a minute is it coming from my head..."
[Well done I am indeed in your head and I'm not an 'IT'. Listen here my name is Elvastia and you better remember that because I'm going to be with you for the whole of your 2nd life. I'll be in your care so treat me well.]
It seems this 'thing' is a straight to the point 'person'.
Elvastia was rambling on, and Kuro couldn't bear to listen any longer, so he told Elvastia to shut up. Soon Kuro opened his eyes slightly. He saw a person wearing a pitch-black hood so he couldn't see the persons face properly, but he heard the person talk into a device Kuro had never seen.
"Maybe it's some magical device to communicate with people from long distances like how I used a phone in my past life." Kuro thought hoping for no comments from Elvastia.

Guess hoping doesn't work but HELLO BRO CAN SWEAR...
The person sounded like a boy; he heard him talk about how it was a pain to save all these slaves and how he couldn't care less about what happens to these elves....
"He must be a good person if he wants to save us!" Kuro thought.
[ARE YOU AN IDIOT HE JUST SAID HE COULDNT CARE LESS WHAT HAPPENS TO US]
Kuro ignored what Elvastia said and stopped the act of sleeping and reached out to him, managing to grab a bit of his clothing. The person got startled a bit, but soon after composed himself.
He demanded "What are you doing?".
Kuro didn't know how to respond after being questioned so he remained silent. The boy seemed quite irritated from the response...which was silence....

The boy then asked," What is your name?"
Finally, a question Kuro could answer and replied with "My name is Kuro Kyoko"
"Kuro Kyoko? What a distinct name," said the boy
"What is your name?" asked Kuro
The boy then answered with "Mika"
"Mika? What a nice name."
Mika was stunned by that comment and blushed slightly but of course Kuro didn't notice or see anything since it was pitch-black outside and Mika was wearing a hood.
"...Do you want to get out of here?"
This was music to Kuros pointy little ear.! And so, Kuro immediately replied with "YES!!".
Mika chuckled a bit with his instant response and said "Lets both get out of here. Yea?"
Kuro nodded his head.

As soon as he nodded his head, Mika used some skill to break the lock and slowly opened the cage door..He then gave his hand out to Kuro and quietly said "Hold my hand, let's get out of here."
Kuro then reached out to Mikas hand and grabbed it saying "ok".
They both held hands while running as the moonlight reflected onto their bodies. It was a beauty to behold. Kuros eyes was bright as a new penny, catching the light in the most delightful way, while Mika had a tight-lipped smile, revealing nothing. The sun started to rise bringing the light to overshine the dark as they were still running.
Mika then quietly said "We have one more hour left until we arrive at the adventures guild. One of the best in the world in fact."

The corners of Mika's lips curved upward by the cute face Kuro was making, Kuro was like a naive little puppy in Mika's eyes, and he found that cute. They kept running like they were one with the wind, a scene onlookers would say looked majestic. After an hour, they both made it into the adventurers guild. When they both went inside, everyone turned and looked at Kuro with curiosity but as soon as they turned their heads to Mika, they all turned their heads back as if fear clawed their throats and paralyzed them. Mika had no reaction to this scene and didn't even bat an eye to anyone...
