Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 First Simulation

[That night, you and Tenten finally became more than friends..]

[Ding! You and Tenten are now in a relationship.]

Sora couldn't help but laugh awkwardly.

He had lived in Tenten's house for eight simulated years, crafting all sorts of advanced ninja tools and presumably expressing his feelings along the way...

Yet it still took Tenten getting drunk for their relationship to actually begin?

He could only sigh — was Tenten really that emotionally dense?

But the simulation wasn't over — and what came next made him both laugh and cringe.

[You went through four months of passionate romance, during which you forgot about writing and inventing tools, and Tenten neglected her shop.]

[It wasn't until Tenten's mother noticed her obvious pregnancy that your relationship was finally revealed to her family.]

[A rushed wedding was arranged within a week to preserve the family's reputation.]

[Ding! You and Tenten are now married.]

[In Konoha Year 71, you two create the perfect ninja tool born from love and hard work — a daughter named Sora Tenten.]

[Congratulations! Simulation complete.]

[Calculating Tenten's bloodline gift passed to the child… please wait.]

Sora stared at the name "Sora Tenten", overwhelmed with emotion.

There was something magical about those characters — he couldn't stop imagining what she might look like.

But before he could picture a combination of his face and Tenten's, new lines of text flashed:

[Congratulations! Simulation Complete. Sora Tenten has fully inherited Tenten's talent, with Jōnin-level potential.]

[To help you understand, her bloodline talent will be displayed in system terms:]

Ninjutsu: 6

Taijutsu: 7

Genjutsu: 3

Intelligence: 7

Strength: 3

Speed: 7

Precision: 4

Hand Seals: 4

[Would you like to store this simulation and receive this bloodline talent as a reward?]

[Note: You can only store one simulation result at a time. Storage capacity depends on your current mental strength.]

Sora chose yes without hesitation.

Even if the system's rules were still a bit unclear, this reward was too important. It was his ticket to becoming a real ninja.

[Ding! Transmitting bloodline talent… estimated duration: 10 minutes.]

A strange tingling surged from Sora's mind outward, making every nerve in his body tense like he was being electrocuted.

He almost screamed — but bit the blanket instead, forcing himself to stay silent.

The last thing he wanted was to alert anyone. If people found out something strange had happened to him, he'd probably be dragged straight into ANBU interrogation.

Ten long minutes passed.

Sora finally relaxed his jaw. His body felt completely drained…

But he smiled.

As he began using the basic chakra extraction technique taught at the ninja academy, a faint but real flow of chakra moved through his meridians.

It was weak — but it was there.

This was chakra.

Sora… was no longer an ordinary person.

He still had to train hard — after all, he'd only gained the potential, not actual skills — but now, he had hope. And hope was worth more than anything.

With a smile, Sora finally let himself drift to sleep.

He didn't even notice the new message that had appeared while he slept.

When he next opened his eyes, he was met by a pair of curious, bright brown ones.

"Wah!"

Tenten jumped back in surprise, bumping her lower back against the table.

"Ah! Ouch, ouch, ouch!"

She winced, rubbing her back while glaring at Sora from the corner of her eye — watery-eyed, annoyed, and a little embarrassed.

Sora noticed the warm towel in her hand and gently took it from her.

It was still warm — meant for wiping his face.

As for her reason for getting so close? He had a feeling Tenten just wanted a better look at his face. A little curiosity… a little crush. Who knew?

By the time Sora pulled the towel down, Tenten had already returned to her usual proud Genin self — chin lifted, arms crossed.

"Well, since you're fine, I'll be leaving soon."

Sora opened his mouth to respond, but she raised a finger and shook it gently — a gesture that oddly resembled Might Guy's signature pose.

"No need to ask my name. No need to worry about what happens next."

"I've already covered your medical fees. And the people who hurt you? They'll be thrown in prison."

"All you need to do is recover properly, and when you're discharged — live well. Understand?"

Sora stayed quiet for a moment. Then, under Tenten's surprised gaze, he shook his head.

"Huh? Did I not explain clearly? Or do you need more help?"

Sora calmly replied,

"Gratitude is one of my principles in life. So please — tell me your name. I want to thank you formally."

Tenten suddenly panicked, waving her hands.

"No, no, that's really not necessary! It was nothing, really—just helping someone out…"

"If you won't tell me," Sora said, "I'll just ask the doctors and nurses. They must know who you are, right?"

Tenten opened her mouth, but realized… she couldn't hide it anymore.

She gave in and told him her name.

Then, perhaps to shift the attention, she eagerly started talking about Team 3 — Neji, Lee, and their teacher Guy — making it clear that rescuing Sora was their whole team's effort, not hers alone.

Eventually, she excused herself with a yawn, claiming she needed to rest.

Sora watched her leave — stretching as she walked away, still rubbing her sore back.

He smiled.

He knew they would see each other again soon.

That entire conversation had been his setup for their next meeting.

He wouldn't be living at Tenten's house in real life like in the simulation…

But now that he had a model for success, building a future through Tenten's help was not only possible — it was a strategic path.

And besides… he still needed to figure out how to earn more simulation chances, didn't he?

He had a few ideas already. But they'd have to wait until he was out of the hospital.

Sora sat up, ready to continue practicing chakra extraction.

Then, his eyes caught something he hadn't noticed the night before.

[Ding! Bloodline transmission complete. Simulation result saved.]

[You may review the full simulation anytime, until it is replaced.]

Sora's brain froze.

Was that what he thought it was?

If so… it might change everything.

With a thought, he tapped the frame-shaped icon behind the message.

One by one, photos and detailed notes began to appear in front of him — arranged by year.
