"If I am guilty..."
Ethan spoke slowly, his eyes sweeping over the officials seated on the judgment panel.
His gaze seemed to carry a heavy weight, making their hearts tighten with unease.
"Then my crime is defending my right to live in the face of death!"
Each word was uttered with resounding clarity.
Like drumbeats striking the heart, it made the wizards on the judgment panel tremble involuntarily!
"Hiss—" Rita's eyes gleamed, and her Quick-Quotes Quill scribbled wildly across the parchment!
"...The accused criminal actually turned the tables and accused the Ministry of Magic of harboring dark secrets in court! With his knife-like words, he exposed the darkest secret of this trial... Dumbledore..."
"Thump, thump, thump!!!"
Umbridge finally reacted, banging her gavel frantically, her cheeks flushed purple with rage, and screaming madly:
"Make him shut up! Tie him down! Aurors!!!"
Chains flew out from the chair, intending to bind Ethan back down.
But Professor McGonagall was quicker, firing off a spell that transformed the chair into a grunting pig.
Her back was ramrod straight, her slender figure like a drawn sword.
Her stern and sharp gaze shot toward the Aurors, as if to say:
Who dares to step forward?
The Aurors exchanged glances.
They all decided to play deaf and dumb, symbolically casting a few spells that veered wildly off course, missing by a mile.
It was a joke.
Most of them were from Hogwarts.
They were Professor McGonagall's students.
With their mentor standing there, who cared what that pink toad was spouting?
They had only graduated; they hadn't stopped being human.
"You—"
Umbridge trembled with rage.
This wasn't right!
It shouldn't have turned out like this; the script wasn't supposed to play out this way!
Below.
Ethan gave Professor McGonagall a grateful look.
Then he lifted his chin, staring proudly and fearlessly at Umbridge!
"You can seal my throat with a spell, you can cut out my tongue with a knife, you can even lock me in Azkaban and let a Dementor give me the Kiss..."
"But this only proves how much you fear what I am about to say!"
"Well said!"
From the judgment panel, a cheer rang out.
A wizard stood up, clapping excitedly.
Then.
Under the strange gazes around him, he sheepishly sat back down, coughed twice to cover it up, his face flushed.
"Thank you."
Ethan politely nodded at him.
Then, his eyes shifted.
No longer paying attention to Umbridge, who was utterly speechless, his gaze shot directly at the instigators of this trial—the Carrow Family.
At this moment.
They seemed to sense the unfavorable situation, stood up, and hastily tried to leave.
But Ethan would not let them off so easily.
"The Aurors who brought me here said you swore to make me pay for your son."
"Then..."
"In the era when Lord Voldemort ran rampant, how many families' disintegrations will you have to pay for?!"
As soon as these words were spoken.
The courtroom instantly fell silent.
"Clatter."
Rita's Quick-Quotes Quill dropped to the floor.
Her red lips were wide open, but she dared not write down those three words.
If earlier, some officials had been watching this farce with an attitude of amusement.
Now, they were completely stunned.
Even Professor McGonagall looked at Ethan with surprise and fear!
Why did this child dare to call You-Know-Who by his name?!
Was it the fearlessness of a newborn calf, or did the courage in his heart trample You-Know-Who's might underfoot?
The Carrow Family stiffened, then shouted with ashen faces:
"You—you lunatic! I'll sue you for slander! We didn't do anything at all—"
"Yes."
Ethan interrupted.
His eyes, like fire, shot toward them, making them tremble involuntarily.
Inside his skull, tiny golden lights gently swayed.
Transforming into power, flowing into Ethan's words.
"You did nothing."
"When other wizards were fighting evil with all their might, you did nothing!"
"What right do you have to stand here and brazenly claim that you 'did nothing'?!"
In an instant.
Ethan's words seemed to turn into golden arrows, piercing directly through everyone's chests!
Shattering their inner prejudices.
Making them truly face the child who had just started school.
A barely perceptible golden light flashed in Rita's eyes.
She was dazed for a moment.
Somehow, she crossed out what she had just written: [Lunatic Ethan Vincent Spouts Wild Words], and changed it to: [Responded to the Pureblood Family's Accusations with Reason and Wisdom].
The Carrow Family trembled all over.
They wanted to say something, but an invisible force held their bodies.
Unable to move, unable to utter a single word.
Umbridge: "...Grab him, the verdict takes effect immediately, lock this lunatic in Azkaban—"
However, she hadn't finished speaking.
The courtroom door was slammed open with a bang!
It hit the wall heavily, making everyone involuntarily shiver.
"Who said they wanted to take my student to Azkaban?"
A weathered and authoritative voice, like rumbling thunder, echoed through the courtroom.
Instantly silencing everyone.
Only to see the white-haired Dumbledore striding in with an angry expression, his robes fluttering behind him.
Behind him followed the bowing Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge.
Seeing this scene, Umbridge's heart dropped, and she nervously gripped the gavel.
"Professor Dumbledore!"
Professor McGonagall turned her head in surprise, finally letting out a sigh of relief.
Now, she wasn't worried about what that pink toad would do to Ethan.
She was afraid Ethan would blow up the Ministry of Magic!
Dumbledore strode toward Ethan, standing in front of him, separating him from the high, surrounding judgment panel.
"I apologize, Mr. Vincent, for arriving late in order to understand the situation as thoroughly as possible."
Dumbledore leaned down and said apologetically to Ethan.
"My child, you must have been terrified. I promise, you will not be harmed again."
Judgment Panel: "..."
The ones truly harmed are over here!
"Damn it—"
An official covered his forehead, muttering in annoyance,
"When Lucius, that old fox, found an excuse to refuse to appear in court, I should have realized this wasn't simple..."
Who would have thought this little bean would be so powerful!
He single-handedly defeated everyone!
Making those who were supposed to judge him speechless!
He even convicted the arrogant Carrow Family.
Dumbledore turned, looking authoritatively at Minister Fudge, saying calmly but without room for doubt:
"I hope you can give me a satisfactory answer."
"Of, of course, Headmaster Dumbledore! This is a mistake in our work—"
Cornelius Fudge chuckled, constantly wiping the sweat from his forehead.
He turned and glared coldly at Umbridge, who was sitting in the judge's seat:
"Our staff made a mistake, hastily opening the court without careful review—Dolores Umbridge."
"Suspended."
These four words, like a heavy hammer, decided Umbridge's fate.
Her face instantly turned ashen white like paper.
It's over, everything is over.
Her body swayed, and she didn't even hear Cornelius Fudge's subsequent fines and investigations.
Clearly, it was tacitly approved...
She heard the whispers of her colleagues in her ears.
She finally could no longer hold the gavel in her hand; it slipped powerlessly, falling with a thud onto the table.
