Previously, Kazuki woke up mid-air in a flaming peacock-drawn chariot, kidnapped—again—by the ever-dramatic Mirelle, who was determined to prove she was the ideal waifu. Her chosen method? A "Perfect Wife Trial" that somehow involved baking cursed cookies over a lava lake. If that wasn't insane enough, each cookie was enchanted with dangerous magic (and one was literally shaped like his face). Mirelle's version of affection was somewhere between a baking show and a summoning ritual.
Just as things got hotter (in every sense of the word), Ayaka crashed the party—descending like a wrathful goddess and launching a one-woman war to reclaim Kazuki. Their magic duel shook the realm: fire wolves, shadow chains, transformation spells—chaos incarnate. Kazuki, as usual, was not consulted.
The battle ended in a backyard crater, with half the lawn on fire and Kazuki covered in love crumbs and unresolved emotional trauma.
