The whooshing of pressured wind blocked out Kalen's sense of hearing. Normally he would never attempt something as stupid as jumping from the fourth floor of a building.
But here he was free falling from a height of nearly 15 meters.

The last message seemed a bit ominous, however he didn't even get to read it as the system messages appeared a second before he landed.
A massive thud was heard and a fusillade of concrete debris shot away in a radius. A deep crate and size of a car was left where Kalen landed.
He fell on his knees, his legs vibrating violently. ' I overexerted it, damn.' Looking forward, he saw the figure walk closer, in a slow daunting manner.
" Master Kalen, I didn't expect you to be here. Hmm, that means Shadow falcon would be wasting his time over there." The masked figure said. " Wait, were you informed, I should have guessed we had a snitch amongst our brotherhood."
Regaining enough strength to rise, Kalen staggered sideways then stopped. " Yes, you indeed have a snitch, that one you call Les. A very good informant of mine, you should killing him."
The assassin chuckled, " The one who sent me is your informant, nice try but nothing sows seeds of disloyalty in the Black Falcon." Kalen gritted his teeth, his mind racking a way to survive the upcoming fight.
" Anyway, I was taught by the Falcon himself not to play with my meals. To him that's my biggest flaw, so let's get over with this." That said the vague figure as he adjusted his black falcon theme mask.
Then he vanished.
Kalen's enhanced mind which could now think twelve times faster sprung into action. Kalen predicted an attack coming from behind him and was inevitably right.
' My chest…, he's aiming for my chest.'
Yet predicting an attack was the same as evading it. After a brief glance at the figure blurring towards him, a heavy force connected with his already crossed forearm.
He was lunched meters away, not stopping till he crashed into the concrete fence of the hostel. Despite the pain he felt he wasn't given a chance to breathe.
Akin to teleportation a myriad of punches landed on his body, punch after punch. The dull impact fractured his superhuman bones and tore his thick skin.
He couldn't even see where the attacks were coming from and he couldn't dodge.
Falcon Shadow was moving at speeds he couldn't perceive.
Moments passed and he was grabbed on the hair and flung to the ground, so hard he bounced twice on the paved ground. A cater was left, bloodied.
" Your quite durable, any Enhanced would be dead by now. I guess I would have to increase my power a bit, so bare. " Falcon Shadow said in an extremely cool voice, his foot pressing against Kalen's neck.
Kalen barely keeping his consciousness looked stared at the masked figure, his eyes burning with hatred. Shadow Falcon gripped him by the throat and hurled him across the courtroom.
He hopelessly hit the wall with a bang, then dropped on his fours. He coughed and tried forcing himself up. Yet his hands quivered and his legs shook, he placed a hand on the wall and rose to his fidgeting feet.
Meters away from him, Shadow Falcon slowly walked towards him, adjusting his mask. The distance between them stretched as Kalen's senses betrayed him.
His eyes blurred, his head and very being ached only of pain.
Still he rose his arms in a boxing stance, his legs spread apart to balance his form. " Hahahaha, you make me laugh, an I have never seen someone so unbending."
Kalen scoffed, his voice hoarse and grating. " I hate you all, * Cough *, my vengeance would start from the Black Falcons." After saying this a harsh laugh booming with the thunder encompassed the hostel.
Shadow Falcon stopped and looked intently at Kalen, the rain give off the very scent of tension. The pressure upon him was awing, in the realm of enhanced, this guy was a pure anomaly.
While they continued their standoff under the lessening rain, ' I have tested all my capabilities, they are powerful but wouldn't help me in this battle. I need to use the main ability.'
Nevertheless before he could activate his said saviour card, he couldn't perceive Falcon Shadow anymore. It was as if he had just vanished in thin air.
Processing that, he saw particular ripples spread throughout the surface of the ground, it were like an invisible person was walking on it.
At first his superhuman mind saw the ripples appeared from where the assassin stood previously. But soon he saw it move in a zigzag pattern. Soon he saw nothing.
Reappearing like a glitch, the assassin was bent to Kalen's waist level and his palm headed to split Kalen in equal halves. Once the side palm of the assassin touched him, Kalen felt his body give out.
He figured, standing still would kill him immediately. To prevent his demise, Kalen jumped following the direction of the palm chop. That act left him fly through the window of an unfortunate victim.
The area around his pelvis was roughly torn, showcasing some of his internal organs and bones. Falcon Shadow really intended to split him in halves.
The injury he left was appalling and the main concept of Kalen being alive was unbelievable.
Clutching to his bleeding side, Kalen felt every atom of strength leave him; draining continually as blood poured out the opening.
Kalen tried crawling towards the door, moreover it was of no use as Falcon Shadow landed on the destroyed window. " You're really resilient, I might not have survived that. Truly impressive. "
The assassin jumped down from the window and into the room. The rooms owner was pressed against the wall, her blanket hiding most of her figure as she shook in fear.
" Awww, So sweet, so touching. I didn't know people feared the Black Falcons to that extent, " The assassin said walking closer to the girl and patting her head." Unfortunately, I am not allowed to leave witnesses."
The next pat turned into a slap which pulverized the girl's head and tore her body in half. The room was instantly drowned in blood.
Although Kalen couldn't see, the assassin pulled down his mask. For the first time showing his youthful face and on it a wide diabolic smile.
" Poor thing, I hope her parents find peace." Falcon Shadow chuckled wearing his mask and looking down at Kalen, " Let's continue from where we stopped."
He walked over to Kalen's crawling figure, and flipped him to his back. Stepping on his chest, Falcon Shadow bent over, his face over Kalen's.
" Twenty percent of my strength couldn't kill you, so let's get creative. " Kalen grimaced, the assassin's nails elongated into coal black talons.
Falcon Shadow grabbed Kalen by the shoulder, his talons pierced into his shoulder. But it didn't stop there, Falcon Shadow gripped harder till he held Kalen's clavicle.
" This is a finisher." The assassin jumped on the window frame and leaped meters into the sky, black wings sprouting from his back. Kalen hung helplessly holding onto Falcon Shadow's wrist.
They flew away from the University and further away from the Salem district and deeper into the depths of Nighthaven.
Falcon Shadow spun causing Kalen's collarbone to crack, " Ohhh well, I guess it's the end of it, I truly feel disheartened by losing someone as resilient and beautiful as you."
Kalen watched the clouds below him, ' I can't survive this.' As he contempted on his impending death. Something special, not seeable by anyone other than himself, flashed briefly before his eyes.
A flash of hope, a hint of survival.
The assassin placed his hands on his mask and slowly took it off. His face was revealed to Kalen, a face he had never seen before but would remember for an eternity.
Drawing him closer, Falcon Shadow whispered in his ear. " I hope you remember this glamorous face once we meet in hell." With those words, Falcon shadow gave him a nod so hard, his superhuman clavicle broke off and Kalen plummet to the earth.
Before everything went black seconds later, Kalen saw the smirk on Falcon Shadow's face as the assassin held his collarbone as a trophy.
