Pfft—
The SS-grade combat suit was known for its formidable defense, but it crumpled like paper under the strike of the Crimson Mother Alloy shard.
Even the Black God Battle Armor—strong enough to resist most Planetary-level attacks—was no match. The shard tore through it easily, punched straight through Atkin's chest, and pierced his heart.
"Impossible…" Atkin gasped, blood pouring from his mouth as he collapsed, powerless.
For someone at the Planetary level, a strike had to hit either the heart or the brain to guarantee death. Otherwise, their powerful life force would let them hang on.
But Wei Wen didn't give Atkin that chance.
The shard rampaged through Atkin's body, then surged into his skull. A moment later, his head caved in—shattered from the inside. The Crimson Mother Alloy darted back out through the same entry wound, leaving behind a spray of blood and gray matter.
Whoosh—
Wei Wen exhaled.
He waited until he was sure. Atkin was gone.
As for his severed arm? Easy fix.
His younger brother Luo Hua had spent years paralyzed, until a single dose of Life Essence—a healing elixir—restored him in seconds.
Wei Wen's body was even tougher. A vial of Life Essence, and he'd be whole again. And the cost? Barely a blip for someone like him.
"Hello," came a low voice over the communicator.
"This is Wei Wen from the Elite Training Camp. I need to place an order for one vial of Life Essence," he said casually.
"One moment please. Checking your contribution points now… Four-star rank confirmed. That brings the price to 15 billion. Proceed with the order?" the representative from the Limit Dojo asked, clearly surprised.
After all, Wei Wen had uploaded the secret manual of the Ninefold Thunderblade Technique – Complete Version, and Hong—the world's strongest warrior—had personally rewarded him with four-star contribution status. That level of contribution cut prices in half—even for top-tier items like the Ninefold Thunderblade. Life Essence? Practically cheap.
"Buy it. Deliver to the Elite Training Camp main gate. I'll pick it up around 1 PM," Wei Wen replied.
"Understood. Since the camp is within the main headquarters in Hongning Base City, delivery will be prompt. Pickup confirmed at 1 PM."
As for Atkin's corpse, it fell deeper underground, the layers of rock punctured by the shard's path. Soil and stone re-sealed above, leaving no trace. No one would find him.
If I didn't have that Crimson Mother Alloy fragment, I'd be the one dead, Wei Wen thought. I owe Babata big time.
But Atkin's death had to stay buried—literally and figuratively. For now.
Before July, Wei Wen hadn't even passed the Prospective Fighter exam. Now it wasn't even October, and he'd surpassed the God of War level… and assassinated Atkin, a third-rank Planetary powerhouse, and one of the five World Councilors.
If that got out, the world would lose its mind. Even thinking about it made his scalp prickle.
He wasn't invincible—yet. But when Luo Feng refined the Plant Essence and Mu Ya Crystal, his strength would skyrocket. First to Planetary level in body, then beyond in mental force.
Until then, the Elite Training Camp was a perfect place to lay low.
As long as he didn't openly reveal anything past God of War level, no one would question him.
Of course, he could always take down a couple Lord-class monsters and qualify for early graduation. But that might raise even more eyebrows.
Especially considering Atkin had dared to strike while he was still in training.
Better to hide in plain sight. Let Luo Feng catch up, Wei Wen decided.
With the Mu Ya Crystal in hand, Luo Feng's cultivation speed would be insane. As soon as he was strong enough to protect himself, then Wei Wen could afford to step out from the shadows.
In this world, strength was the only language anyone respected.
Without power, talk meant nothing.
Atkin had proved that well—he thought he could do anything just because of his rank and strength. Even kill Wei Wen.
Elite Training Camp
Wei Wen returned to Hongning Base City at 12:30 PM on a commercial plane. Half an hour later, he arrived at the training camp in a secured transport.
As he approached the main gate, a large supply truck pulled over to a nearby lot and parked.
Whoosh—
"Student Wei Wen? Your Life Essence has arrived," came a voice from the truck bed as the back opened.
Wei Wen walked over. Before he could step in, a scanning beam swept over his body, followed by a synthetic voice:
"Student Wei Wen. Identity confirmed."
A silver-white case popped open inside the truck. The compartment was upscale—metallic floors, pristine walls—and three people stood inside, staring at him.
One of them, clearly a God of War-level fighter, raised an eyebrow.
"Your arm's missing. What'd you fight, a King-class beast?"
Rumors already pegged Wei Wen's mental force—his Psyker power—as top-tier. Combined with his strength amplification, he was seen as an unstoppable God of War.
Only a King-class beast should've been able to injure him like this.
"Yeah. I went to Australia. Guess I got unlucky," Wei Wen said lightly, retrieving the Life Essence from the case.
With a flick of mental force, he uncorked the vial. The liquid inside glowed with a vibrant green hue.
Wei Wen drank it.
Instantly, a wave of comfort surged through his body. His very soul shivered from the sensation. His arm regenerated before their eyes—perfect, seamless.
Jiangnan Pavilion
"Luo Feng," Wei Wen said, watching him closely. "After absorbing the Dragonblood, your physique has now reached the high-level Warlord tier."
Luo Feng blinked. "Really?"
"And your mental force is already two full stages ahead. It's equivalent to a mid-tier God of War."
"That's… crazy." Luo Feng looked puzzled, still digesting the info.
He didn't question how Wei Wen knew.
After all, Wei Wen had helped him so much already. If not for him, Luo Feng wouldn't be anywhere near this level of power. He owed him everything.
Wei Wen handed him a few items—vials filled with glowing green essence and several small crystalline stones.
"These are for you. Just use them as instructed."
Luo Feng took them carefully. Even before absorbing anything, he could feel it—the crystals radiated power. Holding them made him feel stronger.
And that was despite the fact that his body had already hit its daily saturation point for Genetic Energy.
The Mu Ya Crystals ignored that limit.
They allowed the body to absorb more Genetic Energy… and even enhance mental force beyond normal thresholds.
Luo Feng's eyes widened.
This wasn't just a gift. This was a leap forward.
