Chapter 28 - History of the Temple

Chapter 28 Writer's POV

The king's voice dripped with malice as he began to recount the dark history of the temple. "This temple," he said, "has been a place of darkness and despair for centuries. The witches who reside within its walls are not just practitioners of the craft, but servants of the devil himself. They communicate with death, summoning spirits and bending them to their will."

Onyi and Alexis listened intently, their faces illuminated only by the faint glow of candles in the room. The king's words painted a vivid picture of a place where the boundaries between life and death were blurred.

"The temple is ruled by a tyrannical man, feared by all who know him, he made himself God by his side was a woman, even wolf clan was afraid of him, vampires, elves, dwarfs and all supernatural were afraid of him, they had to join together to fight him" the king continued. "He demands absolute obedience from his followers, and those who dare to defy him are dealt with swiftly and mercilessly. The people of the temple are forced to surrender their riches, their gold and diamonds, to fuel the witches' dark rituals."

As the king spoke, the air in the room seemed to grow thick with malevolent energy. Unlike Alexis, Onyi eyes wide with a mix of fascination and horror.

"The witches of the temple were known for their cruelty and ruthlessness," the king said, his voice low and menacing. "They have no qualms about using their powers to harm and exploit others, and their greed for wealth and power knows no bounds. But such don't exist anymore, they are all death, they were burnt alive even their faithful followers were burnt alive"

"We will steal their gold," he said, his eyes glinting with excitement. "We will take it for ourselves, and use it to fund our own power and influence,I need to do this as king."

Onyi felt a shiver run down his spine as he listened to the king's plan. He knew that this would be no easy task, but he was determined to see it through. The king's ambition was clear: to claim the temple's riches for himself, no matter the cost.

As the king finished speaking, the room fell silent. Onyi and Alexis sat frozen, their minds reeling with the implications of the king's words. The darkness of the temple seemed to loom before them, a challenge to be conquered.

"It's easy to steal, even if there are rumors about it being hunted, those are just nothing but rumors "

Onyi nodded, his mind racing with the details of the plan. He knew that this would be a perilous journey, but he was not ready,he was scared. The promise of gold and power was too great to resist, and the king was willing to do whatever it took to claim it ¹.
