Chapter fourteen
"Father, where is Ryle?" Rylene asked after having her lunch with her new friends. Tatiana and Tryan went to rest to their assigned rooms.
"He is in his room. You can go to check for him there,"
"Alright, i am on my way now," Rylene said then waved. She went to Ryle's room which was such a mess.
There were so many papers scattered everywhere. Ryle was lying on his table fast asleep. Rylene quietly picked up the papers scattered and slowly went through them. She smiled. Her brother woke up abruptly to find her neatly arranging the papers that were scattered everywhere.
"Little sis? What are you doing here?" Ryle asked after wiping his face with his hands and yawning.
"Have you eaten since morning?" Rylene asked him a question instead.
"No, i haven't. Why?"
"Let me order some maids to bring food for you then?"
"Okay,"
Rylene went and ordered for food for his brother then returned.
"Sis, I have a question to ask you...if you don't want to answer then it is okay..."
"Go ahead and ask,"
"Why did you hide this side of yours since mom passed away?"
"Which side of mine?"
"Well...the side that you showcased at the hospital? The blade? The power?"
Rylene remained silent after a short moment. She could not tell him that the real soul of his sister passed away and a foreign soul occupies her body. She could not explain her past life to him. She hesitated.
"I can't answer that, forgive me big brother,"
"No. It is alright. I should have not asked you in the first place. I am sorry, my lil sis," he said then stood up.
he walked towards Rylene and patted her on the head.
"Whatever the reason may be, i don't care. You will still remain to be my baby sis and i will continue to love you, no matter what," he said tenderly.
"Lil sis, who is it that you pissed off that keeps on investigating about you? Dad wanted me to remain silent about the matter until we found the culprit but i thought to ask you first," Ryle said grimly as he returned to his chair and ruffled his messy hair.
"Probably someone who wants to take the twin's life," Rylene said casually and then shrugged her shoulders.
Ryle's expression became dark. He wondered who could begin investigating about her when no one knows of her identity. He wondered who could have the guts to investigate about her little sister under his nose. None of the people under him dared to do so.
