Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Bloodline Fusion, Dragonized Left Hand

Seated in the car, Gu Yue's mind was racing.Shi Yu — this man had to be eliminated.

He somehow knew her secret, and keeping someone like that around was a ticking time bomb. She needed to ask Di Tian to handle this hidden threat, but she couldn't act impulsively.

Killing Shi Yu alone wouldn't solve the problem. Everyone around him would need to disappear as well.Only then would the danger be truly gone.

"Let Di Tian follow him for now. Once we locate his parents' residence, we'll end it all," Gu Yue decided silently.

Inside a secluded training room at the East Sea Spirit Pagoda, Shi Yu was writhing in agony, feeling like his entire body was on fire.

As soon as Gu Yue and the others had left, he had requested Deputy Tower Master Li to secure a private space where he wouldn't be disturbed.

Now, the blood he had absorbed from Tang Wulin and Gu Yue was fully activating within him, wreaking havoc.

The weak traces of the Golden Dragon King bloodline and the Silver Dragon King bloodline within their blood were like two rampaging beasts, clashing furiously inside his body.

It felt like his bones were being scraped, his flesh being sliced apart. The pain layered itself endlessly, contorting his face into a grimace of agony.

"If I had known it would hurt this much, I wouldn't have even considered this," he thought bitterly.

Even if he had decided to go through with it, he should've never absorbed the two bloodlines at the same time.

Instead of balancing each other, they ignited a violent reaction — amplifying the chaos and pain exponentially.

The blood of the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings were natural enemies. The moment they encountered one another, they fought to the death.

And their battleground? Shi Yu's body.

His natural healing abilities were forced to their limits, frantically trying to repair the destruction happening from within.Meanwhile, the powers of time and space that resided in him transformed into suppressive forces, acting like peacekeepers trying to bring calm to the bloodline war.

Fortunately, these powers were strong enough to exert control.

Shi Yu gritted his teeth, enduring the torment while remaining conscious. He had to rely on his own strength to harmonize the bloodlines — only then could he survive.

After an hour, he was drenched in cold sweat. His expression remained pained as the bloodline conflict reached its peak.

But his resolve only strengthened. His will to live forced him to keep going.

"Mistakes come with a price," he reminded himself."I misjudged the nature of these bloodlines — this pain is my punishment."

Another hour passed, and his expression began to ease slightly. The internal war was subsiding, and the pain started to diminish.

Three more hours went by.

At last, the conflict between the bloodlines reached a balance. The two forces, still incompatible, were no longer tearing him apart. Instead, their power began to merge — and the focal point was his left hand.

"Huuuh…" Shi Yu exhaled deeply.

The energy within him slowly returned to equilibrium. His entire body relaxed as he collapsed onto the ground, breathing heavily.

It had been close — far too close.

He'd never imagined that the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings' bloodlines would repel each other so violently. He had assumed they shared a common origin, that they'd merge naturally once inside him.

Reality had proved otherwise.

Their meeting had unleashed chaos far more dangerous than any spirit ring absorption he had ever undergone.

Once his breathing steadied, Shi Yu glanced at the training room's wall clock.

Nearly ten hours had passed since he'd entered.

"What kind of change did this cause?" he murmured, lifting his left hand and staring at it with anticipation.

He could already feel it — his left hand was different. Stronger. It pulsed with energy. Clearly, something inside it had changed.

After ten minutes of trying to activate it, something finally happened.

A gold and silver glow shimmered across his hand as golden-silver interwoven scales slowly formed and covered it.

When the light faded, his left hand had transformed into a dragon claw.

Each of his fingers had grown longer and thicker — over twice the size of his right — and his entire hand was covered in intricate, layered dragon scales. Each scale was the size of a fingernail, glimmering in both gold and silver.

"Dragon transformation?" Shi Yu muttered in awe.

He recalled the phenomenon often seen in powerful dragon-type spirit masters. As they grew stronger, their bodies would gradually take on dragon traits, eventually becoming fully draconic — the true form of their martial spirit.

This dragonization effect was considered a major power boost, especially before reaching the Soul Saint level.

In battles between equally-ranked spirit masters, dragonization was like gaining an extra skill.

Shi Yu moved his transformed hand.

It worked — though the scales made it feel slightly stiff. Not as nimble as his right hand, but fully functional.

Bang!

He punched the reinforced floor without holding back.

The ground cracked and sank under the impact.

He tried the same with his right hand. The ground didn't even crack, and he winced as pain shot through his knuckles — his skin reddened immediately.

Screeeeech—

Summoning the Dark Gold Terrorclaws on his right hand, he scratched them against the dragon scales on his left.

Nothing. Not even a mark.

Even those razor-sharp claws couldn't penetrate the scales.

"These are tougher than I thought…" he whispered, admiration in his voice.

"Did I… gain a trace of the Dragon God's power?"

A smile spread across his face. All the pain, all the suffering — it was worth it.

As the saying goes: The greater the effort, the greater the reward.

"It's just partial dragonization… but this left hand will help me a lot," Shi Yu said to himself.

Only his left hand had mutated from the blood fusion. He hadn't actually obtained the Dragon God bloodline — not yet. That bloodline wasn't something easily acquired.

Even as his strength grew, the dragon scales wouldn't spread unless he absorbed more blood from Tang Wulin and Gu Yue.

He began experimenting, trying to understand his new power.

But the elemental abilities he'd hoped for didn't appear.Instead, the dragonized hand simply offered raw strength and incredible durability.

"Well, I did only get a few drops of blood… can't expect miracles," Shi Yu consoled himself.

He dismissed the transformation, and his hand returned to its normal appearance.

"Six days left… I need to make the most of them."

He stepped out of the training room — and found Deputy Tower Master Li waiting quietly outside.
