Adrian's POV
"Why hasn't anyone brought me Lance here? Where is he!? Why hasn't he been found?!" My father's voice roared, shaking the air as we approached Carter Holdings together in his car, his chauffeur gripping the wheel tensely. He had been like this for three days now. Snarling, raging and lashing out at everything around him.
Two guards from my pack had even lost their lives when they came to report their failures to find Lance this morning. Three cook lost theirs too when he complained that the food had a pinch of salt more than it was supposed to have.
I sighed inwardly. Ever since the board meeting, his fury hadn't dimmed for a second. And still, Lance hadn't been found by any of the men sent after him. It was as though he had vanished from the surface of the earth.
"This is all Marius's fault!" Father barked bitterly as the glass walls of Carter Holdings came into view. "All his fault! If only he hadn't brought that boy into our home!"
