After a short while, Miss Sun Hee and Ji Ho had already finished their work and, wishing Yeo Jun good luck, left. They would not be visiting again for a few days. By now, Yeo Jun had fully prepared himself mentally. Soon it was 11 a.m., and Joon Hyunk, returned home. He gave a few instructions to the guards and then left for the hospital with Yeo Jun.
Joon Hyunk was driving the car himself while Yeo Jun sat quietly beside him. The two of them remained completely silent the entire way. Yeo Jun looked fully calm and relaxed, not nervous or panicking at all. Joon Hyunk noticed this and felt slightly relieved himself—seeing Yeo Jun so composed gave him comfort.
Neither of them spoke during the drive, and within a short time, Joon Hyunk stopped the car in front of a large hospital building. The area was quiet, with very few people around, most of them clearly hospital staff.
Joon Hyunk stepped out of the car, but Yeo Jun remained inside, staring at the building in front of him. He knew deep down that he could do this, yet the fear that had lived inside him for so many years was not easy to erase.
Joon Hyunk walked over to Yeo Jun's side, opened the door, bent down slightly, and spoke softly:
"Yeo Jun, don't be nervous. I'm right here with you—nothing will happen to you, okay? Come on, step out."
Hearing his words, Yeo Jun recalled everything Ji Ho had told him earlier. Taking a deep breath, he gathered courage and stepped out of the car.
With a reassuring smile, Joon Hyunk said, "Shall we go inside now?"
Yeo Jun nodded in agreement, and Joon Hyunk began walking ahead, with Yeo Jun following right behind him.
When Joon Hyunk turned to check, Yeo Jun was still close behind. Gently, Joon Hyunk reached for his hand, held it firmly, and led him inside.
As soon as they entered the hospital building, they saw the front desk area where Dr. Soo Min was waiting, along with his medical team—two male doctors and one female nurse, all standing beside him.
The moment Dr. Soo Min noticed Joon Hyunk, he greeted him warmly:
"Good morning, sir."
"Good morning," Joon Hyunk replied politely.
Then, looking at Yeo Jun, who stood right beside Joon Hyunk, Dr. Soo Min smiled kindly. Yeo Jun looked calm on the outside, but his head was slightly bowed.
"Good morning, Yeo Jun," the doctor said gently. "How are you today?"
For a few seconds, Yeo Jun stayed quiet, but then he slowly lifted his head and, with a faint smile, replied, "Good morning. I'm fine."
Dr. Soo Min nodded encouragingly. "My name is Dr. Soo Min, and this is my team. For the next few days, we are here only for you, to help and support you."
Yeo Jun kept a faint smile on his face and softly answered, "Okay." Yet, inside, he was still nervous about standing among strangers. His grip on Joon Hyunk's hand tightened—holding onto him as if for strength. Joon Hyunk understood this perfectly but was relieved to see that Yeo Jun was far less afraid than before. He was speaking to these new people without stammering and answering their questions properly.
After a while, Dr. Soo Min turned to Joon Hyunk. "Sir, I've already made all the necessary arrangements. Please come with me."
With that, Joon Hyunk and Yeo Jun followed the doctor and his team down the corridor. Within a short time, Yeo Jun was guided into a patient room prepared for him.
The hospital room was surprisingly spacious and luxurious. In fact, it looked more like a hotel suite than a hospital room. Yeo Jun, now dressed in a patient's uniform, sat quietly on the bed, his eyes wandering around the room.
A large window drew his attention. Through it, he could see a simple hospital garden outside. It wasn't as beautiful or well-kept as the one in Joon Hyunk's house, but it had its own calm charm. A few flower bushes were scattered here and there, enough to add a touch of color. From his bed, Yeo Jun kept gazing at that small, ordinary garden, as if it gave him something peaceful to focus on.
Meanwhile, inside the room, Joon Hyunk was speaking with Dr. Soo Min. After updating him, the doctor gave a few quiet instructions to his team, then turned to Joon Hyunk.
"Sir, could you please come with me for a short while? There are some formalities we need to complete," Dr. Soo Min said politely.
Joon Hyunk immediately walked to Yeo Jun's side. Sitting beside him, he gently reassured him, "I'll be back in just a few minutes. Don't worry, okay? Nothing will happen."
Yeo Jun simply nodded in response. He didn't speak, but his calm expression showed that he trusted Joon Hyunk completely.
Before leaving, Joon Hyunk made sure that the doctor's team understood Yeo Jun's condition—that no one should suddenly touch him, crowd him, or behave too strictly around him. They were to keep a safe distance, giving him space to feel secure.
Satisfied, Joon Hyunk followed Dr. Soo Min to his office, while Yeo Jun stayed in the room with the three staff members, who respectfully kept their distance.
Inside the office, Dr. Soo Min sat down with Joon Hyunk to explain the treatment plan in detail.
"Sir," the doctor began, "after seeing Yeo Jun's condition today, I can confidently say that he seems much more stable than I expected. This means we can begin his treatment without much delay. There should not be any major problems."
