Then, Joon Hyunk pulled Yeo Jun closer and laid him down on the sofa beside him. He said softly, "Go to sleep now, and don't think about such things, okay?"
Even while lying down, Yeo Jun clung to him in a hug. Looking at Joon Hyunk, he asked, "They won't give me shocks, right? You'll tell them that I'm not crazy…"
Joon Hyunk placed a finger on his lips to silence him and said, "I know you're not crazy. You're not unlucky. You haven't done anything wrong. I trust you. And tomorrow, I won't let anyone give you shocks."
Then Joon Hyunk lay down beside him, leaned closer, kissed his forehead, and whispered, "Even if you were crazy, I would still love you just the same. You're only mine, and I won't let anyone come near you. I love you so much, Yeo Jun."
Those sincere words from Joon Hyunk filled Yeo Jun's heart with an unfamiliar peace. All those terrible memories that had haunted him for years were finally released, and Joon Hyunk's words carved a place for themselves inside his heart. All the voices that had tormented him throughout the day suddenly went silent. Just hearing those words, Yeo Jun became calm and normal again, lying down peacefully beside him.
Within a few seconds, Yeo Jun's eyes grew heavy with sleep, and he drifted off. Joon Hyunk too fell asleep, still hugging him tightly.
Just minutes earlier, both of them had been restless, their sleep far away. But as soon as they were in each other's arms, a deep calm settled over their faces. Simply being together brought them so much peace that they both drifted into a deep sleep.
In the morning, Joon Hyunk woke up to the sunlight streaming in through the window. He saw Yeo Jun still sleeping peacefully, clinging to him. Gently, he slipped out of his arms, got ready, and finished his morning tasks. Then, coming back into the room, he woke Yeo Jun.
When Yeo Jun woke up, he was completely normal. He got up, took a shower, and got ready. As soon as he came out, they both went downstairs to the dining table, where Sun Hee and Ji Ho served them breakfast. They ate together.
After breakfast, Joon Hyunk said to Yeo Jun, "I have some work to finish by 11. After that, we have to leave for the hospital, okay?"
Saying that, Joon Hyunk left. After finishing breakfast, Yeo Jun went straight back to his room.
Yeo Jun came into his room and closed the door. He was thinking. The things Joon Hyunk had told him last night had erased all the old and wrong thoughts he had carried in his heart for years. He could still remember those things, but they no longer hurt him. He felt as if everything he had kept bottled up inside for so long had finally been released.
Yet, the fear of having to go outside again still troubled him. Today, he had to face his fear once more, to be among people outside. Thinking about this, Yeo Jun hid behind his bed and began to relax. He took one breath in, one breath out, preparing himself to face his fear. He kept telling himself silently, "Don't be afraid. Nothing will happen. Joon Hyunk will be there. Everything will be fine."
At that moment, Kian came downstairs. As soon as he arrived, he asked Ji Ho about Yeo Jun.
"Where is Yeo Jun?" Kian asked.
Ji Ho told him, "He's upstairs in his room."
Kian thought that Yeo Jun was probably scared about going to the hospital, so he held Ji Ho's hand and said, "Come with me, we'll motivate him a little, okay?"
Hearing this, Ji Ho followed quietly and calmly. he had noticed at breakfast that Yeo Jun had been a little quiet. he had thought about talking to him and asking about his worries, but then a small hiccup in her thoughts stopped her. he realized that Yeo Jun wasn't yet that close to him for him to interfere in his personal life, so he silently focused on his own work.
But Kian was like a storm; he did whatever his heart wanted. Holding Ji Ho's hand, he went upstairs with him and reached Yeo Jun's room. As he knocked on the door and opened it at the same time, the room was completely silent. Kian and Ji Ho looked at each other, wondering where Yeo Jun was.
Ji Ho stepped a little forward and saw Yeo Jun's hand peeking from behind the bed, slightly extending outward. he gestured to Kian that he was hiding there. Kian moved closer and lightly tapped the bed. The knock made Yeo Jun realize that someone was in his room. He looked around, but no one was visible.
Then, from one side of the bed, Kian and from the other side, Ji Ho quietly sat down beside him behind the bed.
Looking at Kian, Yeo Jun said, "Kian, you're here?"
Kian replied, "I came to see you. You were sitting here, so we came here to be with you."
Ji Ho noticed that Yeo Jun seemed sad. Normally, there was always a smile on his face. he thought that if he spoke to him now like a boss's family member, he would never share his worries with him. So he decided to speak a little more friendly. Thinking for a moment, Ji Ho asked, "What happened, Yeo Jun? Why are you worried?"
Yeo Jun looked at her and said, "Nothing… I'm just thinking. I needed a quiet place to think, that's why I sat here."
Ji Ho asked again, "What are you thinking about?"
Ji Ho and Yeo Jun already had a very good understanding of each other. Yeo Jun trusted him, so he shared with him, "I'm just a little nervous about going outside again and being among people."
Ji Ho reassured him, "There's nothing to be nervous about. Don't worry. I trust you. You'll manage everything."
