Chapter 109 - Chapter 109: Speedrun 20

Senzo and the three horsemen kept throwing everything they had at the shrinking cyclops, and after Senzo had shot that beam of Taiji qi through his heart, their attacks were finally having an effect.

Senzo finally saw some hope of ending the fight before the bastard could fully transform, and combined with Famine's ability to stop the monster from healing, they were slowly chipping his immense amount of life force away.

After a couple moments, the insanely loud soundwave had subsided. Senzo undid the protection around his and the horsemen's ears. While they were completely fine, the monster—without eyes and with holes of all sizes in his body—looked a little drunk.

The soundwave formed by Senzo's beam hitting the glass around the dungeon core was just that loud, and most surprisingly, the glass didn't even have a single scratch on it.

How?

But Senzo didn't have the time to dwell on things like that currently; first they had to take care of this monster.

Catching their breaths, Senzo and the other three surrounded the monster that looked like a corpse, but all of them could still feel the life force emanating from his body.

"Anyone got any other ideas?" Senzo inquired, while sweat was dripping down his brows.

He also made sure the monster could hear them by utilizing his vector powers.

Famine and Death both shrugged, indicating they didn't have any ideas either; this damn cyclops was just way too tough.

Even after its heart was pierced by that beam that their master had fired a couple moments ago, it was still alive; it just didn't make any sense.

War, on the other hand, was rubbing his chin, seemingly deep in thought.

"Master, can you inject qi into objects?"

Hearing War's question, Senzo raised an eyebrow. "It should be possible; if I can channel it into my arms and body, in theory I should be able to do that as well. What's your plan?"

"It's actually quite simple: we go for a full-on assault. You inject qi into Death's and my weapons and help us accelerate to deal as much damage as possible. After we injure him—possibly even kill him, hopefully—if we can't finish him, just have Famine prevent him from healing those wounds."

"Hooh, I guess simple is the best in these situations, huh..." Senzo muttered to himself, but he was also grinning like an idiot.

Seeing that grin, War and the others knew he had accepted the plan, and without wasting a second, they all rushed to Senzo so he could charge their weapons with his qi.

With a simple wave of his arm, Senzo moved War and Death in front of him, and without a word, they took out their weapons and held them in front of their master.

Famine, on the other hand, kept an eye on the monster, making sure he wouldn't use this opportunity to charge at them.

Senzo took a couple deep breaths to calm himself down and extended both his arms, touching the blade of Death's scythe and War's greatsword.

He would try to fill both of them with qi at the same time to save as much time as possible, but he had never done this before, so he wasn't sure it would work.

Can't be afraid of trying something new at this point, right... he mocked himself. This was a true struggle, the first one he had ever faced.

Can't have myself dying at the first sign of hardship now, can I?

Shaking his head left and right a couple times, he emptied all his useless thoughts and focused solely on feeling the Taiji qi in his body.

"Fuuu."

War and Death kept their mouths shut while keeping their eyes glued at the cyclops that was barely a couple hundred meters away from them.

When suddenly they felt something enter their weapons, he's actually doing it!?

They exchanged a quick glance with one another before refocusing their gazes at the cyclops.

Senzo, on the other hand, couldn't see anything that was going on around him anymore while charging two weapons with highly compressed Taiji qi; sweat kept dripping down his brows, but he wasn't about to give up just because he was tired.

The edges of the scythe and greatsword kept glowing intermittently black and white, clearly indicating that Senzo was successfully charging both of them at the same time, and a couple of moments later he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Go! I'll do my best to help you with the momentum, but I also have to watch out; I don't have infinite stamina. Nor can I stay this focused forever, so please do your absolute best to behead him!"

After he said that, before War and Death could reply, Senzo had already launched them straight at the monster; they couldn't waste any time chitchatting right now.

War didn't mind; feeling his signature weapon brimming with the unknown force, he was grinning like an idiot while flying through the air straight at the monster, and even though Death didn't want to show it, even he was grinning.

"Let's do this!"

They exclaimed in unison, and the two tightly grasped their weapons while staring at the monster, which they were approaching faster than the speed of sound.

War suddenly wildly swung down his massive blood-red greatsword, aiming straight at the cyclops's neck. He tried to exert as much force as possible, utilizing his momentum and starting to spin, trying to cleanly behead the bastard in a single swing.

Bang!

But unfortunately the bastard's skin was just way too tough; he had no idea what kind of material his skin was made up of, but it felt like hitting reinforced steel that had been enchanted to the max.

"What the fuck!?"

Even though he could cut a little bit, it was nowhere near enough to behead him on time. "I'll have to change my strategy..."

While he was grumbling, he felt his body accelerate once more, and he knew now wasn't the time to mope.

Death, on the other hand, focused solely on the monster's joints; with a clean slice, his scythe almost cut the monster's right hand clean off, but unfortunately he didn't have enough brute force like War; otherwise, he was certain he could have cut it off in one shot.

Instead, he only cut halfway through before being stopped dead in his tracks. "Luckily that's not the only thing I'm targeting."

And right after he said that, he also felt his body accelerate again; with a slight smirk, he clutched his scythe tightly. Now he was going to aim for his Achilles tendons.
