Somewhere on a world called Earth, in a regular old school tucked away in the middle of nowhere, class was in full swing. The teacher droned on about geography, or maybe algebra—it didn't really matter. At the back of the room, where chaos and mischief had long staked their claim, sat Wes Walker.
Raven-black hair that seemed to defy gravity, mischievous brown eyes that sparkled with mischief, Wes was hunched over his desk, completely absorbed—not in his textbook, but in the pixelated explosions on his handheld game console. He mashed buttons with calculated fury, deep into a virtual shootout, ignoring the world around him.
"Take this! Boom! Headshot! Haha, got you, you slime-covered cyber goblin!" Wes muttered, thumbs blazing. His face was dead serious, focused like a general leading an army. "Come on, reload, reload... gotcha! Triple kill combo!"
Beeping sound effects filled the air as the tiny screen lit up with a virtual inferno.
"Dude... is he playing another shooter?" one student whispered.
"I swear he's addicted," another muttered. "He's been on that thing all week."
"How does he even pass his classes?"
"Honestly, I think he might be some kind of genius. Or just insane."
"It's kind of impressive though. Look at him dodge and shoot at the same time."
"Still annoying as hell," someone groaned.
"I wish I could ignore stress like that guy."
Wes didn't hear a thing. He was too deep in his mission. "You want a piece of me, alien boss? I've got twelve grenades with your name on 'em!"
"WES WALKER!" the teacher barked, slamming a ruler onto his desk. The class jolted. All eyes turned.
Wes didn't flinch. "Give me five more minutes, teach! I'm almost at the boss fight."
The teacher's face turned red. "This is a classroom, not an arcade! Put it down—NOW!"
Students snickered. Some laughed outright.
"Is he seriously ignoring him again?" one whispered.
"Legend. Also, idiot," another replied, shaking his head.
Two rows behind Wes, Scarlett Hayes rolled her emerald-green eyes. Her long crimson-red ponytail swayed as she leaned forward, whispering with irritation, "Idiot."
Scarlett, beautiful in a dangerous kind of way, had a black ribbon holding up her hair, and a glare that could kill. Wes's antics didn't amuse her—they annoyed her. Deeply.
"Wes! Last warning!" the teacher shouted.
But before things could explode again, the bell rang.
DING DING DING!
The classroom erupted in movement and chatter. Backpacks zipped, chairs scraped, and students spilled into the hallways like a flood. Plans for gaming marathons, snacks, and lazy evenings filled the air.
Wes? Still playing.
"Gotcha, boss slime!" he shouted, pumping his fist in the air. "Take that, final form! Boom! Game cleared! What's up now?"
Behind him came a loud, angry voice.
"You IDIOT!"
Wes didn't have time to react before a balled-up fist smacked the top of his head.
"OUCH! What the hell?!" he yelped, spinning around.
Scarlett stood there, arms crossed, a visible aura of fury rolling off her. "Stop being an idiot and start paying attention in class!"
"But—but the boss was RIGHT THERE!" Wes protested dramatically, clutching his head. "Besides, who needs math when you've got laser turrets?!"
Her eyes narrowed. Her knuckles cracked.
Wes's face went pale. Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead. "H-Hey now… you look really beautiful today, Queen Scarlett. So graceful, so radiant. Please don't kill me."
Scarlett flushed scarlet. "D-Don't embarrass me, you idiot!"
SMACK!
"OWWW! AGAIN?! You monster!" he wailed, sprawled on the floor.
"What did you just call me?!"
"I said you're beautiful! Like, queen-level beautiful!"
Scarlett crossed her arms with a satisfied huff. "That's what I thought, idiot."
Wes climbed to his feet, rubbing his sore head. "You've gotten stronger. That punch was a crit."
"Let's go home, idiot."
"Alright, Red Blaze."
Scarlett flinched. "Stop calling me that!"
"But it suits you! Red hair, fiery temper, hidden affection—it's textbook tsundere."
"You're dead."
And yet, she didn't really mean it. Deep down, she didn't mind the nickname.
The two of them walked through the streets, side by side. Wes stretched, breathing in the fresh air.
The city around them was alive—cars honked in the distance, neon signs flickered as the sun dipped below the skyline, and the faint aroma of grilled food wafted through the air. Children played on sidewalks, music poured from open windows, and the world bustled with life.
"So, what are you doing when you get home?" Scarlett asked, adjusting her ponytail.
"Finishing my game. I just unlocked a hidden weapon. I call it the Doom Blaster 3000."
"Seriously? More video games?"
"I live for them. Games are like life… only better."
"You need a real hobby."
"I have one. Surviving your daily beatdowns."
Scarlett rolled her eyes. "You're impossible."
"And you're adorable when you're mad."
"I SWEAR—"
They both laughed, their voices echoing into the amber twilight.
As they reached the crosswalk, they kept talking.
"You ever think about what it'd be like to live in another world?" Wes asked.
"What, like one of your anime fantasies? With dragons and magic?"
"Yeah. Maybe I'd be a rogue assassin with a tragic backstory. Or a legendary gamer chosen by the gods."
Scarlett chuckled. "You'd still be an idiot."
They stepped into the street.
Neither noticed the sound.
The truck came fast.
Wes's mind went blank.
In those final seconds, he thought, I hope if there's another world… I get to see her there.
It was dark.
Then...
Stars.
Wes's eyes opened to a sky full of sparkling lights. It wasn't Earth's sky—it was clearer, deeper, impossibly beautiful. A sea of stars twinkled like diamonds scattered across a velvet canvas. Shooting stars danced across the heavens in slow motion, casting shimmering trails of silver and blue.
A massive nebula, violet and gold, stretched across the sky like a celestial dragon sleeping in the clouds. Twin moons hovered in silence, one a pale blue, the other glowing amber. The constellations pulsed gently, as if breathing.
Wes lay in the grass, motionless, eyes wide. "Whoa... this is..."
"Insane," he whispered to himself. "It's like every fantasy background screen ever made got merged into one."
He could feel the cool grass beneath his hands, hear the quiet hum of distant wind chimes echoing through the hills, though there were no wind chimes to be seen.
"Scarlett," he muttered, turning his head.
Beside him, Scarlett groaned. "Ugh… where are we?"
Wes sat up slowly. "I don't know. But… it's beautiful."
They looked around—rolling emerald hills blanketed in mist, trees with crystalline leaves that chimed in the wind, rivers of silver weaving through the landscape. Floating lanterns drifted lazily in the air like fireflies from a dream.
Scarlett rubbed her head. "Did we... die?"
"If we did, at least the afterlife is stylish," Wes replied, gazing at the twin moons hovering above. "Also, props to the landscape designer. This place looks like a JRPG's title screen."
Scarlett sat up, brushing dirt from her skirt. "Great. I get killed and wake up in a video game world with you of all people. Just my luck."
Wes grinned. "Hey, if I'm the protagonist, you must be the love interest."
"More like the one who slaps sense into you every three scenes."
"Tsundere confirmed," he teased.
"Dead man confirmed," she growled, reaching for her shoe threateningly.
Wes held up his hands. "Okay, okay! Truce! But seriously... what is this place?"
They both stood and turned in circles, taking in the surreal beauty—floating islands in the distance, waterfalls cascading into the sky, flowers that glowed and pulsed like hearts. The air tasted faintly of honey and wildflowers.
"Maybe we're dreaming," Scarlett said softly.
"Or maybe," Wes said, looking toward the horizon, "we just hit 'New Game.'"
Then came a voice. Sweet, musical.
"You two have awakened."
They spun around.
A woman sat on a glowing crystal throne. Radiant, ethereal, with hair that shimmered like galaxies and eyes like the cosmos itself.
She sat at the edge of a floating platform made of pure light, suspended in the air by invisible magic.
Wes blinked. "Who… are you?"
She smiled.
Wes and Scarlett stood frozen in awe, still trying to process the radiant figure before them. A presence unlike anything they had ever seen bathed the field in light, and even the strange, magical world around them seemed to hold its breath.
She looked like she'd stepped out of a dream—or an ancient prophecy.
Her long, silver-white hair shimmered like moonlight flowing in waves down her back. Her eyes—gold and violet galaxies swirling with soft glow—locked onto them with impossible grace. She wore a flowing gown of white and gold that shimmered like celestial silk, moving as if caught in an unseen breeze. A floating halo of shifting light gently circled behind her head, radiant but soft.
Then she smiled.
A warm, serene smile that could melt the stars.
"I am Lady Seraphina Lumeria," she said in a voice that was soft yet powerful, like a hymn whispered across time. "Goddess of Rebirth and Destiny."
Wes and Scarlett both went slack-jawed.
"G-Goddess?" Scarlett stammered.
Wes's brain did a backflip. "G-G-Goddess?! Like, actual divinity, halo and cosmic gown and everything?!"
Their minds short-circuited. They looked at each other in disbelief, then back at Seraphina, then back at each other.
Wes gasped dramatically, eyes wide. "This is it! This is really it! It's anime! It's isekai! I died and woke up in another world with a beautiful goddess! YES!"
Scarlett was still trying to breathe. "W-Why are we here? What's going on?! I-I don't remember agreeing to be part of some celestial plan!"
Wes nudged her. "Did we do something wrong? Is this because you punch people too much? She's the Goddess of Rebirth—maybe this is your karma!"
Scarlett's face lit up with rage. "Shut the hell up!!"
WHAM!
Her fist came down on Wes's head like divine retribution itself.
"AAAAAAGH!" Wes screamed, collapsing to the ground and rolling dramatically. "MY HEAD! MY GLORIOUS HEAD! This is the punishment of the gods! I deserve this, but I didn't expect it to hurt this much!"
"STOP EMBARRASSING ME!" Scarlett shrieked, her face burning. "We're in front of a G-Goddess, idiot!"
"You don't need to go full boss fight mode!" Wes groaned.
"Then stop being a moron, you floppy-haired buffoon!"
"Oh wow, now we're throwing fantasy insults, huh? Just because you've got the Red Blaze aesthetic doesn't mean you're royalty, Your Spiciness."
"You want another fist to the skull, Dumb Knight of Idiocy?"
Wes stood up, rubbing his head. "Monster. Violent, overpowered, tsundere monster."
WHACK!
"OW!"
"Who you calling a monster, you walking cheat code of annoyance?"
"You just proved my point!"
THUMP!
"OUCH! That's my other side of the head! I need that to balance out the pain!"
"Shut it, Lord Drama of Whinyville!"
Wes flailed his arms. "Seriously, if I get a concussion in the afterlife, I'm blaming YOU."
WHAM!
"Stop talking! Just stop!"
Seraphina giggled softly, a hand covering her mouth. Her eyes shimmered as she watched the two bicker.
So this is what mortal affection looks like... chaotic, loud... but oddly sweet, she thought.
Wes yelped again as Scarlett yanked him into a headlock. "Okay, okay! I was wrong! I'm sorry!" he cried.
Scarlett released him with a final shove. "Idiot."
Wes rubbed his head, muttering, "That aura of yours hits harder than any final boss…"
A soft cough interrupted them.
They froze like statues and slowly turned.
Seraphina was standing serenely, an amused smile on her face.
"Are you two done?" she asked gently.
Wes and Scarlett immediately dropped to their knees, bowing their heads low.
"I'm sorry, Goddess!" Wes said quickly. "It was all Scarlett's fault for being violent and scary!"
"Excuse me?!" Scarlett growled. "You're the one who started yelling about anime tropes in front of a divine being!"
"It's called cultural awareness!" Wes retorted.
"Called being an idiot!"
Seraphina blinked, head tilting slightly. "You seem quite... passionate."
Scarlett huffed. "I apologize for this fool's lack of discipline."
"And I apologize for this hot-headed storm of violence!" Wes added.
They turned on each other again.
"Say that again, I dare you!"
"Oh I'll say it and print it on a T-shirt!"
"IDIOT!"
"MONSTER!"
Seraphina gently cleared her throat again.
Wes and Scarlett paused mid-squabble.
"Apologies," they said in unison, bowing deeply.
Seraphina smiled gently. "Fear not. I won't harm you. After all... I'm the one who brought you here."
Wes blinked. "Wait, what?"
Scarlett narrowed her eyes. "You... brought us here? Why? Why us?"
"You could've picked anyone," Wes said. "We're not... anything special."
Seraphina stepped closer, her halo glowing brighter. "You are more special than you realize. I brought you here for two reasons. First, to give you a second chance at life... in a new world."
Wes's jaw dropped. "Second chance... in a new world... this really IS isekai!"
Scarlett clutched her arms. "But... what kind of world are you sending us to?"
Wes raised a hand. "Yeah, actually—what's the name of this world? And... what's the magic system like? Are we talking scrolls, chanting, mana bars, or just shout and shoot fireballs?"
Seraphina smiled with a knowing sparkle in her eyes. "The world is called Aetherion. It is a realm governed by five elemental currents—Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Aether. All magic flows from the balance and tension between these forces."
She raised her hand, and a tiny sphere of flame flickered to life above her palm.
"Magic in Aetherion is both art and discipline," she said. "Some wield it through incantation and knowledge. Others, by forging soul-bonds with elemental spirits. There are combat mages, runesmiths, spiritual dancers, and wielders of raw force. Magic is not limited by blood or birth, but by will and imagination."
Wes's eyes sparkled. "So... you're saying I could shoot lightning while doing flips if I train enough?"
Seraphina gave a small nod. "If your soul resonates with that path, yes. Some conjure stormblades with a whisper. Others ignite cities with a single breath. There are also artifacts that awaken latent magic, and rare beings called Soulforged who channel power through emotion."
Scarlett crossed her arms. "Sounds dangerous."
Seraphina smiled gently. "It is. But danger often walks hand in hand with purpose."
Wes's grin widened. "This is awesome. I'm gonna be a lightning-blasting, monster-slaying, anime-style sharpshooter with a tragic past and a cool coat."
"You already have the idiot part down," Scarlett muttered.
Before Wes could fire back, Seraphina raised her hand.
"Now," she said, "you must choose the form your power will take."
She snapped her fingers.
A soft chime rang through the air.
Suddenly, the space in front of them shimmered like heatwaves, then exploded in a burst of violet light. Particles danced in the air like fireflies. From the swirling glow emerged a massive screen—glassy, digital, and ethereal. Symbols spun across it in a language neither of them recognized, then rearranged themselves into glowing English letters.
Rows of glowing text appeared, shimmering in shades of purple and blue.

Wes's jaw practically hit the grass. "LOOK at this! It's like an endgame RPG selection screen! With subtitles and everything!"
Before they made their choice, Wes and Scarlett stood silently before the massive class selection screen, its glow pulsing softly like a heartbeat. Rows of glowing text floated midair, each name brimming with mystical promise.
"Okay, this is nuts," Wes said, hands on his hips. "Shadowstep sounds cool. Kinda rogue-y."
Scarlett tilted her head. "Chrono Dancer? Sounds elegant... but weird. Do I have to waltz through time or something?"
"Spiritcaller?" Wes smirked. "Might be your thing. You already have the rage of a thousand ghosts."
Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Void Herald, huh? Definitely your speed. Edgy, moody, dramatic. Just add a tragic backstory and eyeliner."
"Hey!" Wes barked. "I am full of personality and mystery. You're just jealous."
"Of what, your anime logic and pocket snacks?"
Wes clutched his chest. "Low blow. That hurts. Like… emotionally."
Seraphina sighed softly. "Please... choose."
They straightened up instantly.
"Sorry, Goddess!" they said in unison.
Wes turned back to the screen. Then suddenly, his eyes widened. "No. Way. Magic... Gunslinger?"
Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "That excites you?"
Wes practically vibrated with excitement. "This is it! This is me! It's like every game I ever loved! Guns. Magic. Explosions. Pew pew and pow! This is the class I was born for!"
Scarlett smirked. "Of course it is."
He grinned. "Did you find yours yet?"
Scarlett nodded. "Yeah. Magic Swordswoman."
Wes gave a thumbs-up. "Perfect. Suits you. Grace and fire. Slashing stuff while yelling about justice."
Scarlett smiled faintly. "It's strong, balanced, and elegant. Just like me."
"Totally," Wes said. "Also a bit stabby."
"Don't make me demonstrate."
Seraphina stepped forward. "Are you ready to choose?"
They both nodded. "Yes."
Wes reached out and touched the words Magic Gunslinger. The screen pulsed. Scarlett followed, pressing her finger to Magic Swordswoman. Light enveloped them.
A rush of energy surged through Wes, like the roar of wind and the crack of gunfire. He could feel it—power, speed, precision. His soul aligned with the class like it was always meant to be.
"I'm... a Magic Gunslinger," Wes whispered, awestruck.
Scarlett stood tall, the glow fading from her hands. "And I'm a Magic Swordswoman."
"You look ready to slice fate itself," Wes said.
Scarlett smirked. "And you look like you're about to start an anime arc."
Seraphina giggled. "I knew you would choose those. I saw it in your potential."
Wes blinked. "Wait—how'd you know?"
"Yeah," Scarlett added. "You knew exactly what we'd pick?"
Seraphina nodded. "It's my role to watch souls across lifetimes. I could see your affinities. The threads of fate led you to these choices."
Wes and Scarlett looked at each other, amazed.
"I also have... gifts," Seraphina added.
"Gifts?!" Wes said, eyes sparkling.
Scarlett leaned forward. "What kind?"
"For you, Scarlett," the goddess said. She snapped her fingers.
A radiant light flared before Scarlett. From the light, a blade materialized—Aetherflare, the Flamewind Blade.
(… sword description and reaction remains unchanged …)
Seraphina turned to Wes. "Now for you."
"I'm ready!" Wes said, bouncing on his feet.
With another snap, light flared again.
Two revolvers materialized before him.
(… revolver description and initial reactions remain unchanged …)
"What are their names?" he asked.
"Reveria, the Silver Revolver of Clarity," Seraphina said. "And Aurelia, the Black Revolver of Fury."
Wes nodded slowly. "Those names... they're beautiful."
Scarlett crossed her arms. "And dangerous."
"They are your partners," Seraphina said. "Respect them. Speak to them. And they will answer with power."
Wes blinked. "Wait, what do you mean 'speak to them'?"
"There's one more thing," Seraphina said.
Wes leaned forward. "Yeah?"
She smiled widely.
Wes and Scarlett looked nervous.
"What is it...?" they asked in unison.
"The revolvers you hold... are not just tools."
Wes's eyes narrowed. "Go on."
"They were once goddesses."
"WHAT?!"
Scarlett screamed. "You're holding actual goddesses?!"
Wes yelped, nearly dropping the revolvers. "I'm holding two former divine beings?! Are you insane?! What if I misfire?! What if I insult one of them?! What if they get jealous?!"
Scarlett backed away. "Oh my god. He's literally armed with the most dangerous weapons in the universe."
"I'm not qualified for this!" Wes panicked. "There should be a license for divine firearms!"
Seraphina remained calm. "They chose you."
Scarlett pointed. "Just don't accidentally summon a volcano!"
"I might!" Wes shouted. "They're goddesses!"
Seraphina explained the origin—the betrayal, the sealing, the balance of elements, the War of the Primordials. As she spoke, their awe only grew.
"I'm holding history," Wes whispered. "I'm holding... vengeance, balance, and ancient fury."
"And now you're dramatic again," Scarlett muttered, but even she looked shaken.
"I'll use them with everything I've got," Wes promised, gripping them firmly.
(… goddess speaks of elemental bullets and powers …)
The weapons vanished into radiant motes and entered their chests. Both Wes and Scarlett staggered.
"They're part of us now," Wes said. "Cool. Terrifying. But cool."
"So... what now?" Scarlett asked.
"Now... you live your second life. In Aetherion," Seraphina said.
Wes and Scarlett nodded together. "We're ready."
"Good," Seraphina whispered. "May fate be kind."
"Goodbye, Goddess," Scarlett said.
"Hope to see you again," Wes added.
She smiled. "Good luck... my Wes and Scarlett."
She snapped her fingers.
Light exploded.
And they were gone.
They landed softly in a vast forest of glowing trees and golden grass.
The world was radiant with life. Trees with sapphire leaves sparkled in the breeze, casting shimmering patterns on the mossy floor. Crystalline flowers bloomed along the path, glowing faintly in hues of violet, blue, and gold. Gentle wind danced through the branches, carrying the scent of wild honey and dew.
Streams of silver-blue water trickled nearby, weaving around smooth stones that sparkled with runes. Birds chirped with melodic, magical tones, and in the distance, light shimmered in floating wisps that moved like spirits.
Wes turned slowly. "Whoa... this place is insane. It's like a fantasy postcard."
Scarlett took a deep breath. "The air… it feels alive."
"I've never seen anything like it," Wes said. "Even my best games never looked this good."
"This is real," Scarlett said. "And we're part of it now."
She turned to him, eyes fierce but warm. "Let's go, partner."
Wes grinned wide, spinning one of his revolvers with practiced flair. "Right. Let's do it."
They stepped forward together, walking into the glowing depths of the forest. Birds scattered above them. Light danced on their faces. Magic pulsed beneath every step.
Whatever awaited them, they were ready.
Just as they were about to begin their journey, Wes paused, a curious glint in his eye.
"Wait a second," he muttered, raising a brow. "If this really is an isekai... then there has to be a status screen, right? That's, like, the rule."
Scarlett tilted her head. "Status screen? What are you mumbling about now?"
Wes smirked. "Trust me. If this works, you'll owe me an apology and a praise offering of ramen." He raised his hand dramatically. "Status!"
A soft chime echoed.
A glowing violet screen appeared before him, hovering mid-air like a holographic window.
Wes's jaw dropped. "IT WORKED. It actually worked. I have a menu! This is a real isekai!"
Scarlett blinked in shock. "No way… it's real? This isn't some otaku fever dream?"
"I have a UI! A floating window! Scarlett—I AM THE SYSTEM NOW."
She rolled her eyes. "You're the dorkiest reincarnated gunslinger I've ever seen."
Wes began reading the screen aloud:

Scarlett's jaw dropped. "That's... a lot of power."
Wes grinned. "We are SO ready."
Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "Wanna test it out?"
Wes nodded eagerly. "Let's shoot stuff!"
They looked toward the trees. The forest ahead stretched endlessly, a stunning panorama of glowing foliage, floating pollen-lights, and whispering winds weaving through the canopy. The trees themselves pulsed faintly with magic, their bark veined with shimmering threads of light.
"Who goes first?" Wes asked.
"I will." Scarlett stepped forward confidently. She extended her arm. "Come to me, Aetherflare."
A powerful gust of wind burst from her palm, and in a blaze of red and silver light, Aetherflare – The Flamewind Blade materialized from thin air. The sword spun once midair before gently placing itself into her outstretched hand, the blade humming with elemental energy. Crimson flares and wind wisps spiraled briefly around her before fading.
Scarlett took a step forward, slipping naturally into a low, agile stance. Her grip tightened around the hilt, her eyes narrowing on the towering tree ten meters ahead.
"Wind Cutter – Gale Edge!"
She swung.
A concentrated crescent of green-tinged wind exploded from her sword. It whistled through the forest like a sonic blade, howling with ferocity. The wind slash carved through the massive tree with surgical precision.
A beat of silence.
Then—CRACK—the tree groaned before tipping backward, crashing to the ground with a deep BOOM, shaking the nearby foliage and sending startled birds into the air.
Wes's jaw dropped. "Yo! That wasn't a sword move—that was a wind cannon. You just soloed that tree like it insulted your hair."
Scarlett blinked at her sword, then smiled. "It felt... amazing. Like it responded to my thoughts."
"Alright," she said, glancing over her shoulder. "Your turn."
Wes cracked his knuckles and stepped forward. "Come to me, Reveria and Aurelia."
Twin lights flared in his palms—silver-blue and deep molten crimson. The air around him pulsed as the twin revolvers materialized from light and energy. Reveria formed first in his right hand, etched with soft gleams and blue glows; then Aurelia emerged in his left hand, casting flickering flames and golden-red sparks.
He grinned. "Welcome back, girls."
Then, with smooth flair, Wes spun both revolvers around his fingers, flipping and rotating them effortlessly in a display of showy skill. Reveria spun in circles before landing perfectly into his palm. Aurelia flipped overhead in a blaze of light before he caught it behind his back.
"Okay," he muttered, turning to the trees. "Let's make some noise."
He narrowed his eyes at a pair of thick oaks standing side by side.
"Fire Bullet. Lightning Bullet."
With a dual pull of his triggers—BOOM BOOM—two shimmering projectiles tore through the air.
The Fire Bullet from Aurelia glowed bright red-orange, trailing a comet-like flame as it struck the first tree, causing an explosive burst of heat and a spiral of fire to erupt on contact.
Simultaneously, the Lightning Bullet from Reveria crackled like a stormbolt, flashing with electric arcs as it slammed into the second tree. A web of blue-white electricity surged outward, splitting branches and scorching bark as it overloaded the tree's natural mana.
BOOOOM!
Both trees quaked under the impact—one bursting into fire and smoke, the other shattering in a flash of thunder and falling backward with sizzling cinders floating in the air.
Scarlett stepped back, shielding her face from the blast wind. "Okay... wow."
Wes exhaled and twirled his revolvers back into their holsters. "I LOVE these guns."
Scarlett nodded slowly. "Those weren't just flashy. That was raw elemental force."
"We're ready," she said, stepping beside him again.
Wes looked over and gave her a grin. "Ready to change the world, partner?"
She smiled. "Let's go."
And so they began to walk into the forest. The trees whispered ancient secrets around them. Every step they took echoed with purpose. Birds with glowing feathers flew overhead, while deer-like creatures with crystalline antlers peeked from behind foliage.
The path ahead glimmered faintly, almost inviting them.
The start of their journey had begun.
To be continued…
