Destiny – Season 1 Episode 1: Alone in the Ocean

Scene 1: The Snowman

The wind howled through a barren, icy wasteland. Snowflakes danced madly in the air, as if trying to erase everything in sight. A lone figure stood motionless in the vast white ocean — a man cloaked in dark fabric, his hood drawn low, concealing all but his breath in the cold.

From the blinding snow, another cloaked man emerged, his steps cautious yet steady. He stopped a few feet away, squinting at the silent silhouette ahead.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice sharp and curious, slicing through the stillness like a blade.

The first man did not respond. For a long moment, only the wind answered — shrill and endless. Two strangers stood still in the sea of snow, tension brewing in the silence.

And just like that, a story began — not with a battle, but with a question.

Scene 2: Lysis the Target

A warm sun clung to the horizon, painting a quiet neighbourhood in golden hues. Children's laughter echoed in the distance — all except around one boy.

He stood near a streetlamp, back straight, eyes lowered. Three other boys jogged toward him, their grins crooked with mischief.

"There he is," one of them said. "What's wrong with you? Too weak to fight back?"

They shoved him. He stumbled slightly but didn't fall. The boy — not yet called Lysis — didn't speak. He kept his hands by his sides, jaw clenched.

Inside, he wanted to scream. To fight. But fear — or maybe restraint — held him still. The other boys laughed and walked away, proud of a victory over someone who hadn't even raised a fist.

Why don't I ever fight back…? he thought. Is it because I know I'd lose? Or because… I still believe they'll stop someday?

Scene 3: A Hand Reaches Out

The sound of shoes scuffing against pavement cut through the fading laughter. An old man, cane in hand, walked slowly toward the boy.

"That's enough," he said firmly. His voice wasn't loud — but it was steady, like an old oak in a storm.

The boys turned.

"What's it to you, old man?" one of them spat.

"It's everything," the man replied, stepping between them and the boy. "You should be ashamed of yourselves."

The kids exchanged glances — this wasn't what they expected. After a moment, they muttered insults and walked off, pretending they weren't retreating.

The boy looked up at the old man, confused. For the first time in a long while… someone had stepped in.

"Come," the man said gently. "Let's get you out of the cold."

Scene 4: The Divide

The old man's home was small and worn, but warm. A fireplace crackled in the corner, casting long shadows across the wooden walls. The boy sat silently at the table, holding a cup of warm broth in both hands.

"They call themselves Super Veyrons now," the man said, stirring his own drink. "They used to be rare. Gifted. But now, they're everywhere."

The boy looked up, intrigued.

"What makes them different?"

"They're born with powers. Some say they're chosen. Others say… it's just evolution. But us? Normal humans? We've got something even stronger."

"What's that?"

"Resilience."

The boy blinked.

The word echoed in his mind like a seed landing in fertile soil.

Scene 5: The Storm Knocks

Dusk fell fast, and with it came a knock on the door — three heavy thuds. The old man opened it to find three large men waiting.

"You scolded our sons," one growled. "You don't have the right."

The old man stood tall. "They needed to learn a lesson."

"You have no idea who you're dealing with," said another. "We don't forget."

Lysis — the boy — stepped forward, eyes wide with fear. The air grew tense. He clenched his fists.

The men glared at him… then at the old man. Then they dragged him outside.

Scene 6: Blood in the Snow

Lysis watched helplessly as they beat the old man in the street. Snow mixed with blood. It wasn't just pain — it was punishment. Punishment for standing up to power.

"Stop!" Lysis shouted, rushing forward. "Leave him alone!"

They didn't listen.

The boy could only scream — powerless. And in that moment, something inside him began to change.

Scene 7: Healing

They were at the hospital now. Lysis sat by the old man's bed. Machines beeped. The old man, even bruised and bandaged, managed a smile.

"You brought me here…?" he asked softly.

"I didn't know what else to do."

"You did enough."

And for the first time, the boy felt something unfamiliar — purpose.

Scene 8: The Invitation

The next morning, the old man sat up with effort. The room was quiet.

"You need strength, boy. But not to fight. To endure. To grow." He placed a weathered hand on Lysis's shoulder. "There's an academy for orphans. For fighters. You should go."

The boy nodded slowly.

For once, the path ahead wasn't empty.

Scene 9: The Academy

Power Bank Academy stood tall — an ancient structure built for battle and learning. Lysis walked in, eyes wide. Other children moved through the courtyard, shouting, laughing, sparring.

An instructor stood before him.

"Strength," he said, "starts within. Muscles follow."

Lysis nodded. And with that, the training began.

Scene 10: Old Enemies, New Confidence

At lunch, the boy spotted a familiar trio. The same boys who once bullied him.

"You think you're special just 'cause you're here?" one sneered.

Lysis looked them in the eye.

"I don't need powers to stand on my own."

Their smirks faded.

Scene 11: Nightfall

That night, Lysis lay on his bed. He stared at the ceiling, mind alive.

"This is just the beginning," he whispered.

I will become more than I am now.

And the wind outside whispered in agreement.
