Professor Reed.
If he was getting suspicious, that was not a good sign. Professor Reed was one of the few human professors we had here at Moonveil. Freya's father, Professor Callum Vance was a lycan, and belonged to Lucian's pack.
Professor Reed was decent, doing what he had to do, and he taught very well. But now...if he continued this way, he would have to be put down. And the thought of what could possibly be done to him made me shudder.
The past few days had been a lot. Tiring. Exhausting. Painful.
And now? Now there was Nicklaus. Or so I heard his name was.
This just kept getting more complicated.
They had shoved him out the back of the court, where the noise of bouncing balls and sneakers faded into the stale, echoing quiet of the storage corridor.
Fluorescent lights buzzed overhead in that faintly migraine-inducing way that made me want to rip the fixtures out and smash them against the wall.
