Chapter 86 - 86. I’m Not Letting Go

Elias's POV

So that was a Shadow Lycan.

The creature I saw in that dream.

Or was it a vision?

As she ran into the night, my gaze snapped back to Valeria.

My body moved before my brain caught up, eating the space between us in three long strides. My hand closed around her throat, hot and unyielding, and I drove her into the stone wall. The impact rattled through my arm, through the air itself.

She sucked in a sharp breath, but I cut it off with pressure.

"You—" My voice came out low, almost unrecognizable, like Rex was already bleeding through me. My Lycan was pounding, demanding, now. My fingers flexed, tightening, the urge to keep squeezing clawing up my spine. "What did you do to her?"

Her nails bit into my skin, desperate, scrabbling. Her eyes went wide, showing white around the edges. She tried to twist away, but I didn't move.

The dangerous part of me, the one I usually kept locked up, leaned in close, whispering how easy it would be to end this.
