'Why are they so fast?!' Theresa lamented as she jumped from tree branch to tree branch, trying her best to keep up with that pack of wolves along with Mike, but no matter how she sped up, they always seemed to be out of reach.
The infuriating part was that she knew that they weren't even using their full speed. Especially Mike, considering he'd broken the sound barrier to escape from the titanic monster looming in the distance
As for how she was actually able to see the wolves despite their camouflaged state, well, Thermal Gaze.
After ten minutes of running, though, she saw them suddenly slow down, and Mike also eased up on his speed, finally allowing Theresa to catch up.
She was about to say something snarky when Mike held up a hand, shutting her up. He then brought a finger to his lips before dropping to the ground silently, and Theresa lingered before following suit.
