The Sandstorm and the Queen's Sorrow
The people were in a hurry due to the approaching signal that echoed like a train on the tracks. Whenever a desert storm was approaching, the people of the land, known to many as the "Barbarian Desert," knew a ceremony was about to take place. From a distance, a thick cloud with flashing lightning, dark and ominous, appeared—not rain, but a fierce sandstorm like a raging deity.
Panic was etched on people's faces. From afar, a trumpet's ear-piercing blast signaled danger. In that small civilization, these barbarians learned to live in the midst of a violent desert. Young and old, when the giant cloud approached, they hid like chicks during a storm. The arrogant ones humbled, and the drunkards sobered up in fear of being buried alive. Even the stray dogs learned to save their own lives.
