Chapter 10- Special Chapter

Glen had heard of the news that one of her teammates had brought in a person yesterday, and from the words of the one who told her about this matter, the new person seemed problematic and Clyde was likely tricked by them

Feeling somewhat skeptical, Glen decided to check for herself, it wasn't that she didn't trust Laura, who delivered the news, but Clyde just didn't seem like a person who's easy to trick and she had heard of him before

Her teacher had told her that Clyde was someone to trust as an ally but someone to dread as an enemy, she had known her teacher ever since she was first sucked into these dungeon

He was her pillar and someone she worshipped immensely and seeing her respected teacher make such a face was an entirely new experience for her

Like he was bitter but also somewhat relieved, her teacher was a high-level player and hearing him speak in such a tone could only mean they were on the same level

After asking Laura for the room number, she walked there early in the morning

Standing outside, she waited for a while before the door cracked open from the inside, and the person that appeared from within that crack stunned her enough that her mind went blank

A fairy with white hair glowing like the perfect model for a shampoo commercial looked at her

Making her face those beautiful bejeweled emerald green eyes with colors so alluring it could lull you into believing you gazed at the entrance of another world

Her long lashes fluttered slightly, following the movements of her eyelids blinking, her gaze as she looked at her was colored with confusion

Ugh, is this the feeling of those fans meeting their idols face to face? She felt like an arrow had just pierced her heart

Such a beauty, if Clyde was tricked then it was justifiably done so

If someone this beautiful tricked her then she would willingly hand over her life savings, no questions asked

"Hi"

The fairy parted her thin red lips, giving her a greeting in that sensual silky and soothing voice that's akin to the sound of immortals giving salvation

Okay maybe she exaggerated a bit, but she almost felt her ears going pregnant

"Ah yeah hi, I'm sorry it's just that wow, you're gorgeous"

Glen had wanted to greet her properly, but what came out of her mouth was jumbled words that revealed how blank her mind was right now

The instant she finished speaking, she instantly regretted it

It was too crude and sounded insincere, she wanted to use her usual eloquence her teacher had trained her to have– as a requirement for being a leader– to praise her appropriately without making it sound like she was flattering her, and to make her feel welcomed and comfortable in her presence

But her brain just wasn't functioning properly under that high visual attack

"Thank you, you're pretty too"

Glen paused feeling like she had been blessed, was the saying 'do good unto others and your time of prosperity will come' true?

Seeing the fairy shyly tuck her stray hair behind ear, she truly felt that all those times she held back beating up and killing her teammates were worth it, she had felt her teacher's teachings of unity and salvation was outdated and inflexible

The dungeons were dangerous, and people who spoke of lofty sentiments full of humanitarian ideology were treated as pushovers and delusional idiots

But now, she thanked the gods that she followed through with his teachings, this was definitely good karma landing on her head

Trying to settle down her beating heart, she pretended to be calm

"Please don't flatter me, my name's Glen, what's yours?"

"Lina"

When had such a common name sounded so beautiful?

---

Walking with Lina down the hallway, her heart was beating furiously in her chest

Was she really someone who worshipped looks? No right? Clyde was handsome, Laura was also cute but she never felt like this before

She felt like she was bewitched

Every single move, every single gesture that Lina made, just seemed to evoke her reaction, whether it was her heart skipping a beat, her breath hitching, her fingers twitching

It felt like her body was responding to her every little actions

And it was driving her mad

Glancing at her from the corners of her eyes, she couldn't help but be amazed

She's really really good-looking, even the word beautiful wasn't enough to describe her

"Have you tried the food here? Is it good"

Snapping out of her thoughts, Glen answered Lina

"Uhh yeah, their steak is incredible, cooked just right, juicy and tender with that perfect sear that locks in all the flavors and their braised fish? Honestly, it's like the ocean itself decided to show up on your plate–rich, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. But don't even get me started on their pork ribs you can tell the chef has some kind of magic hands. They fall off the bone effortlessly, with this smoky, sweet glaze that's just addictive. Even their vegetables are elevated like, they roast them to caramelized perfection, and the fried rice—each grain is perfectly golden, coated evenly with all those aromatic spices and sauces, like every bite is a little flavor explosion. Plus, they do wagyu beef, which is another level entirely—the meat just dissolves on your tongue, so buttery and tender it's nearly sinful and– oh god I'm saying too much, I'm saying too much, I'm so sorry"

Blushing slightly from shame, she heard Lina's amused chuckle

"You really like the food, I guess I'll have something to look forward to"

Glen previous shame became completely replaced with glee

The fairy was so nice and patient, not even getting annoyed when she kept rambling unnecessarily when she was only asked whether the food was good

Arriving at the dining restaurant inside the inn, they chose a table near the window, giving them a view of the beautiful expansive garden

But it was not as beautiful as the fairy sitting in front of her

The light from the window landed on her porcelain skin, giving her an angelic halo

Her hair glowed brilliantly from the sun rays shining through the glass pane, her eyes shone, giving her green eyes an ethereal gaze, she was truly a sight to behold

The waiter approached them to take their order

Lina seemed to have taken what she said earlier to heart and ordered pork ribs and fried rice

Noticing Glen looking at her, Lina gave her a smile

"I would like to try the others too but I can't finish that much food"

"Ah no no, it's fine, that wasn't why I was staring"

Lina tilted her head to the side, her hair falling to her shoulders, her gaze looked at her as if asking 'then why?'

Clutching her chest, Glen felt that critical hit

So damn adorable

"It's just that.... haha I just thought to ask what shampoo you're using"

Glen almost bit her tongue

Really? Seriously? Shampoo? Couldn't she have asked something else?!

Lina also seemed stunned by her question before she burst out laughing

Her laugh was melodious like singing bells, listening to her laugh alone could make people instantly visualize a lively and cute girl

"My shampoo? Sure I'll tell you, I'll send you a bottle later"

Chuckling in amusement, their food arrived

They stopped talking to enjoy their breakfast but the atmosphere remained warm and pleasant

***

Parting ways with Glen, Elaine spotted the man that was missing in action yesterday, waiting in front of her room

"Clyde?"

Hearing her voice, Clyde looked in her direction

"Your brother's in the reception area waiting for you"

Listening to him, only then she realized the prop she used 'Plastic Family' was still in effect, the 'brother doll' that came with the prop came as scheduled

She nodded to him with a smile

"I'll pay you once I get my things, do you want to accompany me?"
