After eliminating Michael, I sever his head and place it on Jack's doorstep. Knox discovers this and begins blaming Jack for his brother's death.
To resolve this, I strike a deal with Knox: I won't harm his mate or report them to their werewolf council, and in return, he keeps his distance from me and anyone that concerns me. It takes a kidnapping and two broken fingers to pass my message across to him. And he upholds his end of the bargain—until he decides to interfere recently.
The irony of it all is that I don't kill his mate.
His face flushes with anger as he tries to unknot the rope tied around his wrists to the back of his chair.
"You killed him..."
"I heard you the first time," I snap. "What made you think it was me?"
His expression twists in rage. "Because you said it was!" he shouts, moving his chair violently like he could get up and beat me blue and black like a child.
"You killed him. And trust me, I'm still getting started with your own mate."
