Hope
I'm literally overstimulated with life. I need to scream on top of a mountain, but I'm unfortunately stuck in the woods with a gorgeous beast-man who looks at me like he wants to have sex with me.
"Since you guessed correctly," he murmurs, a crooked smile playing on his lips. "I have a reward for you."
I take a cautious step back, my voice edged with sarcasm. "No, thank you. How about you just show me the way back to town?"
His eyes glint with amusement. "Is that all you want to know?"
"Yes."
He chuckles, the sound low and unsettling. For some reason, he finds my uneasiness amusing. "You're a curious liar, pretty human. What about your sister? Don't you want to know what happened to her anymore?"
A wave of nausea hits me. My head spins, and bile rises in my throat as he scrutinizes me.
"You can... really find her for me?" I demand in a shrill voice.
"Exactly! Do you want me to grant you that wish?" His eyes glow as they suddenly lock into mine.
