Chapter-46
Hall of Agartha;
Agartha, Tenth Floor,
The Eternal Flying Castle of Utopia – Avalon;
New World,
Overlord Verse;
Kai watched the hall slowly empty, the guardians departing in orderly silence, their footsteps fading one by one. The moment the last presence slipped beyond the great doors of Agartha, the unknown pressure of being a Supreme Lord finally eased.
While, Deicide snuggled itself to its master. All the while, oblivious to the inner thoughts of its master. Just when it was wishing to fall asleep in the embrace of its master, Mors stood up, jolting it awake.
Mors activated a skill of his True Dragon God - World Enemy Template. Responding to his call, the stacks of documents lying on the table appeared in his hands. Without missing a beat, leaving behind his entourage in the Hall of Agartha, he teleported to his castle.

Dragon's Soul;
Chaos Sea, Ninth Floor,
The Eternal Flying Castle of Utopia – Avalon;
Appearing in his castle on the Ninth Floor, he let Deicide return to its station and entered his personal study. Walking inside, he moved toward his massive study table, picking up a Rubik's Cube from the shelf along the wall. Absentmindedly playing with it, he sat down in his chair, placing the solved cube on the table.
He sank back into the throne with a quiet breath he hadn't realized he was holding.
'…That went better than expected,' he muttered, though the words carried little conviction. Placing the report on the desk, he let his mind drift, running through the various simulations and possibilities he had imagined for his arrival in the New World.
The idea that an entire society had risen around his guild base, worshipping him as a god, gnawed at the back of his mind.
'Of all the possibilities, I never imagined being worshipped right after being summoned. While it is a pain to always be placed on a pedestal, with one's actions constrained, it is still an effective way to confirm their loyalty to myself and Avalon,' he mused.
Kai glanced behind his throne, where a large, exquisite painting of his guild base hung.
'While this is beyond expectations, with two formidable unknown forces lying on the horizon, this could be a good fortune,' he sighed.
'After all, we can't have hostile forces camping just outside the guild base. Moreover, this could provide excellent camouflage for the guild base. On the bright side, the door hasn't been discovered by outsiders for centuries.' He muttered as he let out a deep breath. 'Still, acting as a god… that's a first for me,' he thought, staring out the window beside him. He gazed at the unending stream of clouds drifting across the endless blue sky of his Ninth Floor.

Fortnight Later;
Divine Throne Hall;
Divine Throne, Seventh Floor,
The Eternal Flying Castle of Utopia – Avalon;
A black-armoured man walked up to a giant floating platform at the end of the Seventh Floor. A massive white throne rested upon an elevated dais, the sun glistening behind it, along with the ethereal woman who stood beside the throne. The divine star, glistering, shining its everlasting divine grace upon the whole floor. A celestial body possessing the power to set the entire floor ablaze.
He stood staring at the throne, his presence stark against the divinity of the place. Clad in black full-body armour, with two curved horns protruding from his head, he appeared alien to the floor's setting. He calmly gazed at the celestial body when he heard a woman's voice beside him. Though he had sensed her presence earlier, due to the difference in level between them, the throne had held all his attention.
"It is beautiful, majestic even… as it is powerful," muttered the woman with long purplish-silver hair.
The black-armoured man nodded at his fellow guardian's comment as he turned to face her. "That is true," he affirmed.
Nodding at his response, the woman turned fully toward him and spoke. "Güliedistodiez, why were the floor guardians summoned this time?"
Just as he opened his mouth to reply, a black-haired girl flew in on a giant golden bow and landed upon the platform where they stood. She was soon followed by a golden-haired girl, who stepped through a black door that manifested beside them. The golden-haired girl looked identical to the black-haired one, both of them being twins.
The twin goddesses of the Divine Throne joined their impromptu meeting. With their arrival, all of the area guardians of the Seventh Floor had gathered.
"So, what was it? When were you called?" muttered the black-haired goddess, followed by the golden-haired goddess. "What was the purpose of this meeting Güliedistodiez?"
Annoyed by the interruption, the purplish-silver-haired woman clicked her tongue in their direction. Not heeding her reaction, they both pestered Güliedistodiez.
Sighing at their childish antics, Güliedistodiez tried to calm them down.
"Quinella," he spoke, addressing the purplish-silver-haired woman, as he turned to face the twin goddesses. "Ishtar and Ereshkigal, could you all at least allow me to speak? And please stop with your childishness. You are all area guardians of the Divine Throne, so behave as such."
"Fine. Not that this angel and my sister could ever be worthy of their titles," muttered the black-haired goddess.
"So, what gives you the confidence to assume yourself worthy of being an area guardian of the Divine Throne?" Quinella spoke in a condescending tone.
"Well, I am a Goddess and…" spoke the black-haired goddess, Ishtar, but she was interrupted mid-sentence by Quinella.
"It was a rhetorical question. And I am sure it is beyond you to comprehend what is being said. After all, you are still a child," muttered Quinella.
Her reply resulted in Ishtar fuming with anger as she readied her giant golden bow, directing it toward her.
While, they quarrelled, Ereshkigal, the golden-haired goddess, stepped toward Güliedistodiez and spoke. "So, why were the floor guardians called today?"
Surprised by her indifference toward her sister and the provocation, he stood watching their banter, perplexed by the situation. Though he wished to put an end to it, at the same time, he did not wish to get involved.
All the while, Tiamat, who stood beside the throne, smiled warmly at them. While, Ereshkigal, still stood gazing at him, hoping for an answer to her question.
Güliedistodiez still stood surprised by her indifference toward their quarrel. Hoping to sort out the whole charade sooner so as to speak his mind, he turned to Ereshkigal, relying on her newfound maturity to help him break their quarrel. "Ereshkigal, I could use your help with them," he spoke.
Ereshkigal just snorted at them as she replied, "Why bother with those idiots, Güliedistodiez?" She muttered, gaining their attention. Not giving them any time to retort, she continued. "To become a Guardian of Avalon, one needs to be bestowed the title by the Supreme Lord. Being worthy has nothing to do with it, and one only needs to act as instructed and be servient toward the Supreme Lord."
Her response stopped both Quinella and Ishtar in their tracks, as Quinella turned silent, irritated as she gazed at them, while Ishtar replied, "Obviously, I know that. That is a given, and what I meant was for us to behave as Area Guardians the Supreme Lord hoped for us to be." She muttered, her voice trailing off and turning into a murmur by the end.
Both of them now stood silently, irritated, gazing at each other, giving side-eye to one another.
Having watched the whole ordeal, Tiamat stepped in and took control of the meeting. "So, now that it is resolved, Güliedistodiez, why was this meeting called?"

Divine Throne Hall;
Divine Throne, Seventh Floor,
The Eternal Flying Castle of Utopia – Avalon;
The Area Guardians of the Divine Throne gathered in the Divine Throne Hall, at the end of the Seventh Floor, before the Divine Throne. They were now comfortably settled, waiting for Güliedistodiez to relay the information about the meeting.
Tiamat remained in her usual place by the throne, unmoving. Quinella sat on a step near the throne, while the twin goddesses sat on opposite ends at the bottom of the stairs leading up to it. Güliedistodiez stood on the platform below the stairs leading to the throne. None of them were willing, or daring, to take the throne belonging to their Master and Creator.
Taking a look at the Area Guardians of the Divine Throne, settled calmly, Güliedistodiez addressed the meeting. "The meeting was convened to inform the guardians of the future plans for the guild and to discuss the world we now inhabit." He paused, taking a brief moment to let them gather their thoughts.
"So, they are finally going to conquer the world?" muttered Ishtar.
"They should have done it sooner. Why bother giving those insects any time? The sooner they serve the Supreme Lord, the sooner their existence will gain any resemblance of meaning," muttered Quinella. Though they all had their differences, at the core of the matter, they were all loyal and lived for the same cause.
"It is the only way to save their souls," muttered Ereshkigal in agreement.
"The Temple of the Supreme God, was it?" muttered Quinella as she continued. "These pitiful mortals are smarter, but it is a pity that only a small bunch of them know their place in this world."
"They should all worship Lord Mors. Anyway, when was it ever a question?" spoke Ishtar, stating it as an absolute truth.
"I understand your stance, but that is left in the hands of Lord Arrodes and the rest to decide," replied Güliedistodiez, seeing that they were all on the same page. "Anyway, this meeting was convened to inform us of the exploration of the New World. Lord Laplace has already begun mapping the world through divination. While everyone was against it, it was inevitable. Regrettably, the Supreme One will be traveling the world under a guise. The Supreme One wishes to experience the world, and the guardians were unable to persuade him otherwise."
The area guardians expressed their rejection and concern. In the end, the decision had already been made.
"Is there no way left to persuade the Supreme One now?" muttered Tiamat, breaking the silence.
"I suppose not. Otherwise, we wouldn't have reached this stage," spoke Güliedistodiez, regret dripping from his voice.
With his words, a gloomy atmosphere settled over the Seventh Floor. The departure of a Supreme One from Avalon was a sore spot for them.
"Anyway, the fact that two Children of Yggdrasil and a Stellar Maid are accompanying the Supreme One does ease our worries a bit," muttered Güliedistodiez.
"That does ease my heart a little," affirmed Tiamat, her large horn nearly touching the floor as she heaved a sigh of relief.
"Anyway, we should meet the Supreme One before he departs," muttered Ishtar a bit later, breaking the silence that hung after their discussion.
"I don't think you should be pestering the Supreme One with your persistence, Sister," replied Ereshkigal. "Your intent is very apparent, and I don't think you can hound the Supreme One by begging him to let you accompany him," she muttered.
Ishtar, having been seen through so easily, stood at a loss for words, embarrassed as she scrambled for a response. "I… would never think of annoying the Supreme One," she muttered as she turned her face away and fell silent, her face red as a tomato.
Still facing the opposite direction, she mustered the last shred of her voice and murmured, "I don't think the Supreme One thinks of me as a bother. Lord Mors did say that I am a good child." She stood on her toes, twinkling her fingers as she spoke shyly.
"Anyway, moving on. Is there anything else that you need to report?" spoke Quinella, completely ignoring Ishtar, leaving her to her own devices, lost in her own world.
"Yes," spoke Güliedistodiez in a heavy tone, his expression darkening.
