Elijah was as mysterious as people's browser history after midnight. Something deep, dark, and so very genuine, hidden from the prying eyes, yet unmistakably equally tempting.
Alexei was suddenly getting a chance to peek behind the veil and look at Elijah's fate.
In an instant, he sat up straight.
All his laziness left his body, mingling with the hazy smoke emitting from the bronze incense burner placed in the corner.
"Elijah's fate... How is it?"
Elder Un Seok-Jin glared intensely at Alexei.
"My Deity and my eyes have never betrayed me. Yet I can't see Elijah's fate."
"Huh?" Doesn't that mean you and your deity aren't that powerful?
Alexei didn't voice his thoughts aloud, mindful of the elderly in the room.
