The day at the university was uneventful.
Well… mostly, if he ignored the few details.
If Elijah ignored the fact that yet another student had fallen victim to the bad luck of the spider lady, and that the professor had enthusiastically summoned him, it was almost peaceful.
With a bag slung over his shoulder, Eli walked toward the office. It was barely a block from his last class.
As he knocked, bright, expectant eyes immediately greeted him.
"Come in, Elijah. Sit. I've been waiting for you."
The office wasn't small, but the sheer number of books crammed into every corner made it feel mildly claustrophobic.
Careful not to upset the precarious stacks beside his chair, Eli set his bag down and took a seat.
"Here, take a look. I pushed it through with the publishers."
Eli's gaze fell to the papers.
The publishers liked his thesis! Liked it enough to request his full work!
