Chapter 28 - Untamed

Huh?!

Noor yelled in confusion.

(What in the world… Yesterday Miss Jenne proposed to me, and now Ria is doing the same thing?! This is definitely a prank. It has to be. But judging by her expression… she looks serious. Very serious. I'm scared.)

"Ria, what are you saying? This is not funny!" Noor panicked heavily.

"I am not joking," Ria snapped—revealing her fangs and half–beast form.

"I should've told you earlier… Despite having a power source like you in front of me, I messed around like an idiot."

Her breathing became wild, feral.

"I don't care how you look. I need you. You'll be mine."

Her grip tightened around Noor's wrists, pushing him down.

"Arrrgh—ahh— Ria, you're hurting me! Please—stop!"

"No matter what happens, I will take revenge," she growled, transforming further.

"Ria, don't do it! Everyone will find out about your true self!" Noor groaned in pain, unable to move.

"RIA—STOP!"

Just when she was about to dig her fangs into his neck—

"Are you out of your mind? Let him go."

Jenne stood behind them.

Noor lay on the ground while Ria sat on top of him, gripping his arms.

"You two can have your romantic time somewhere else. It's school." Jenne said while looking away.

"No—no, Miss Jenne, you got it completely wrong! Ria is acting weird all of a sudden!" Noor said, trembling, eyes teared up.

"Looking at this situation, it rather looks like a romantic scene," Jenne replied carelessly.

"But Ria… you shouldn't break the rules we learned since childhood."

"Hah… haha…"

"Rules?" Ria let go of Noor.

"Argh—cough…" Noor got up slowly.

"Did learning the truth about yourself change you?" Jenne asked.

"No, of course not. By learning I'm a hybrid of vampire and werewolf, I gained even more confidence. I realized how powerful I am."

She glanced at Noor.

"And I have a delicious power source right in front of me."

Eek. Noor froze in shock at her words.

"I can finally kill those bastards who murdered my family."

KRRRCK—THOOOOOM

Thunder roared violently.

"And Jenne…"

Woosh.

Ria appeared right in front of her.

"Don't you also want revenge for your mother's death?" She leaned close.

"Ria, I told you to stop bringing that up."

Jenne snapped—her eyes glowing red.

"Aww~ but didn't your father bring Noor as a toy for you? First you were disgusted by his looks… but after peeking into his heart, you felt deep affection toward him."

"I don't blame you. I thought the same."

Ria looked at Noor with a psychotic smile.

"The way his heart beats… the smell of his blood… it drives me crazy."

(What is she saying…? Can she really see right through me? This is creepy as hell.)

Noor was sweating in terror.

"What do you want from him?" Jenne asked coldly.

"The same thing you wanted."

Ria smiled.

"But unlike you, I won't turn him into a bloodbag or a plaything. I'll protect him. I'll take good care of him."

"I don't care about him. But…"

Jenne's eyes narrowed.

"It was obvious how much care you took of him before I arrived."

"Oh come on, that's my way of showing love. Like you do."

"I'm not aggressive like you," Jenne replied flatly.

"Then don't cry later when I claim him at the right time."

"We'll see," Jenne answered coldly.

While the two supernatural girls argued—

Noor quietly sneaked away.

He sprinted down the stairs.

"Huff…

Huff…"

"Now I'm more confused than anything…"

"Ria acting strange…

She's a hybrid…

She wants to 'take care' of me while almost breaking my wrist…"

"Nope. I'm not thinking about this anymore. My brain can't take it."

"But… she said her family was killed…"

"Arrrrgh!" Noor yelled in frustration.

"Later. I'll think later. For now, let's act like nothing happened."

Sigh.

"Nothing happened," he kept repeating.

Later in class

Noor sat reading his book.

"Oi Noor!" Suvro called.

"Hmm?"

"Let's go to the school dojo! I learned new moves!"

"Okay."

---

In the dojo

"Look! The 360 kick—you step like this. Put pressure on your hips and—WOOSH!"

"How was that?" Suvro asked proudly.

"Good. I can also do that," Noor said carelessly.

"What?!" Ashraf choked.

Woosh!

Noor performed a perfect 360 kick—creating a small shockwave.

"WOOAAAHHH!!"

Their jaws dropped.

"HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!"

"I just tried it once and perfected it."

(Noor remembered the storeroom incident.)

"Wait! One more!"

Suvro did a full split.

"How's that?"

Noor copied it flawlessly.

Ashraf: "HOW?!"

The entire dojo stared at Noor in disbelief.

"Maybe I'm very flexible?" Noor stretched his neck.

"That actually makes sense…" Ashraf muttered.

"So Noor… that means you're in perfect condition to learn how to fight!"

"Let me teach you some moves that actually work in real combat," Suvro said excitedly.

"Oh, okay."

---

After school

Noor arrived home.

"Why does everything feel so empty…?"

He collapsed onto his bed.

After a while—

Grrp.

"I'm hungry. I should look for Miss Rosy."

He walked through the hallway.

"Ack—

Gasp."

Noor froze.

It sounded like someone whispered.

"…Rosy…"

"What? Someone just whispered Miss Rosy's name?"

He gulped.

"No… I have to check. I won't repeat the same mistake. But this bothers me too much…"

"One way to find out."

Kick—

SMASH!

Noor kicked the guestroom door open.

"Miss Rosy! I'm here! Is there any probl—"

He stopped.

His breath froze.

His eyes widened.

His soul left his body.

"What…

the…

HELL…"

Noor stood frozen in total disbelief.
