Chapter 36 - CHAPTER 36: HOW I BECAME THE THE DEMON KING PART 1

Salina's smile turned sinister as she turned to Lysander. "Lysander, make the arrangements. We'll make sure Nadia and Ava get the training they need." Lysander nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "I'll take care of it, lady Salina."

Nadia and Ava stood up, their eyes burning with determination. "We're ready to begin," Nadia said, her voice firm.

Salina nodded, waving her hand. The room began to change, the walls shifting and reforming into a vast, dark landscape. "This is the Shadow Realm," Salina said, her voice dripping with power. "Here, you'll face your deepest fears and learn to harness your true potential."

Ava's eyes widened as she looked around. "This is amazing," she breathed.

Nadia's expression was resolute. "Let's do this."

With a nod, Salina sent them into the Shadow Realm. The darkness swallowed them whole, and the training began.

Meanwhile, Breaton was still locked in his own world of rage and determination. LM Simon's voice echoed in his mind, guiding him through the training. "Unleash the lightning, Breaton. Let it consume you."

Breaton's eyes flashed with energy as he raised his hands. The air crackled with power, and a bolt of lightning shot forth, striking the target with incredible force.

LM Simon nodded, a hint of pride in his eyes. "You're getting closer, Breaton. Keep pushing."

As the training continued, Breaton's power grew, his determination fueling his progress. He was a force to be reckoned with, and he knew it.

Twenty years passed in the room of endless time, equivalent to four months outside. Breaton had finished his lightning training ahead of schedule, surprising LM Simon with his rapid progress.

LM Simon nodded, impressed. "You've exceeded my expectations, Breaton. Your control over the lightning is unmatched. You've got a natural talent."

Breaton smiled, feeling a sense of pride. "Thanks, LM Simon. So What do you have planned next?"

LM Simon shouted, " Hey Jack, you can Come in now!"

The door slid open, and in a flash, Jack appeared next to LM Simon.

LM Simon leaned forward, a hint of a smile on his face. "Breaton, the next phase of your training involves taking your skills to the next level. You'll be facing off against Jack and myself. You'll have to use everything you've learned - your ninja skills and your mastery of lightning - to defeat us."

Breaton's eyes narrowed, his focus sharpening. "I'm ready. What's the timeframe?"

LM Simon nodded. "You have four years inside the Room of Endless Time - that's four weeks outside. Make it count."

Breaton cracked his knuckles, a grin spreading across his face. "Fighting against two of my mentors? It's an honor." He gave a slight bow.

Jack raised an eyebrow, pointing a finger at Breaton. "Are you sure he's ready, LM Simon? In the world of shinobi, he's still a Genin."

LM Simon smiled, his eyes glinning with anticipation. "That may be true, Jack, but Breaton's also at the first stage of lightning mastery - The Apprentice level. And the only way he can improve is by fighting strong opponents."

LM Simon turned to Breaton, his expression serious. "Are you ready, Breaton?"

Breaton nodded, his eyes locked on Jack and LM Simon. "I'm ready, sir. I'll do whatever it takes to improve."

Jack cracked his knuckles, a fierce grin spreading across his face. "Alright, let's see what you've got, kid. Don't hold back."

Meanwhile, due to a time dilation six months had already passed in the demon realm, and, Merry had given birth to a young baby boy.

As the last breath left her body, Merry's spirit was consumed by dark energy. She died as a mortal, but was reborn as a Demonist, her powers now tied to the shadows. The baby boy lay beside her, oblivious to the transformation taking place

As Merry cradled her newborn baby, she gazed into his eyes, and her Demonist instincts kicked in. She noticed something off about her child - very off. His tiny mouth was dotted with sharp vampire fangs, his eyes were shifting like they were wearing off different colors, and... was that a tail? It was retracting fast, like it was hiding. And on his back, tiny demon wings fluttered, trying to unfurl before settling back into nothingness. And on his forehead, tiny demon horns poked out, soft and fragile-looking.

Merry's eyes widened as she took it all in. "What... what is he?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Just then, Leanne and Bella - Merry's two demon maids - stepped forward, their faces expressionless as they knelt before her. In unison, they spoke, their voices low and raspy, "Congratulations, Miss Merry, on your ascension to a Demoness... and on your healthy delivery."

Merry's gaze snapped to them, her eyes flashing with a mix of shock and curiosity. She looked down at the baby, then back at her maids. "A Demoness... and what is he?" she asked, her voice firm, demanding answers.

As Leanne and Bella were about to answer Merry's question, Fi-six appeared in the room and spoke. "Perhaps I can answer that question for you, Merry. The father of your child is... a hybrid of a vampire, a werewolf, and a demon. He's also part human as well."

Fi-six smiled at the baby. "Which makes him a very powerful anomaly, actually. And it would appear your child has inherited his traits as well."

Merry's eyes flicked to Fi-six, her gaze piercing. "His father... you mean Breaton?" she asked, her voice uncertain. "But he is a human. Isn't he?"

Fi-six smiled at her, his expression knowing. "Breaton is not all human anymore, Merry."

Fi-six's smile grew wider. "Also, you are no longer human either. You have become a Demoness, Merry."

Merry handed the baby to Bella, who crupped him gently in her arms. Merry then walked over to a mirror, her movements deliberate. She gazed at her reflection, taking in the changes.

Her eyes were now black with piercing blue pupils, her horns small but sharp on her forehead. Wings sprouted from her back, dark and sleek. And a long tail swished behind her, ending in a pointy tip.

Merry's gaze lingered on her new form, a mix of shock and curiosity on her face.

Merry's eyes widened as she took in her reflection. "An ass...?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "So this means I'm no longer human."

She turned to Fi-six, her gaze searching for confirmation. Fi-six nodded, his expression serious. "You are a Demoness now, Merry. Your human life is over."

Fi-six's expression softened, and for a moment, Merry saw a glimmer of sadness in his eyes. "I don't want you to worry, Merry. As long as you and the child stay here, you'll be safe. You have my word... as the Demon King. You are family now."

Merry looked at Fi-six, her gaze searching. "Thank you, Mr. Fi-six. But I want to know something. Why are you being so kind to me?"

Fi-six's composure flickered, and a flash of sadness crossed his face before he regained control. "I... you remind me of an old friend," he said with a sigh. "This was a long time ago, back when I was still human myself."

Merry's curiosity got the better of her. "If you don't mind, Mister Fi-six, could you tell me a little about your friend? Like... what happened to them?"

Fi-six's gaze drifted off, lost in thought. "Her name was Aria... We grew up together, in a small village on the edge of the mortal realm. She was... everything to me. We had plans, dreams..."

He paused, his voice catching. "The night I was turned, my dear friend Aria... she was taken from me. By the ones who made me what I am today."

Merry nodded, walking back to her bed and taking the baby from Leanne. Fi-six smiled, snapping his fingers as a chair appeared, and he sat down.

"The story I'm about to tell you... it took place at least two thousand years ago, I think," Fi-six began, his voice low and nostalgic. "Back when I was still human."

He leaned back in the chair, eyes gazing into the distance. "In a small village, surrounded by rolling hills and ancient forests... that's where my story begins."

Fi-six chuckled, a warm smile spreading across his face. "I was born into a noble family known as the Sixtons. My name was Finn Sixton. I was only five years old when I first met Aria."

He laughed, the sound rich and infectious. "That day, I went horseback riding, even though I was told not to get on a horse because I was not old enough."

Fi-six's eyes sparkled with mischief, a hint of the young Finn Sixton he once was. "Let's just say, I wasn't exactly the best listener, even back then..."

Fi-six's laughter grew louder. "I went to the family's barn and took out the biggest horse we had there. A horse we called Destroyer, because he wouldn't let anybody tame him. And I started riding."

He chuckled, shaking his head. "At first, he allowed me to climb on his back... and then he galloped down the streets, destroying everything in his path."

Fi-six's eyes gleamed with amusement. "I was five, folks. What did I know about riding?"

Fi-six's laughter subsided, and a sheepish grin spread across his face. "If I'm being honest with myself, I deserved a public flogging for that one. Destroyer went on a rampage through the streets, destroying everything in his path, just like his name said."

He chuckled. "Surprisingly, no one was harmed in the mayhem. Guess the people saw Destroyer coming and ran for safety."

Fi-six's expression turned nostalgic. "I finally got him out of town, and we headed into the forest. And that's when we stumbled upon some bandits looking to attack the nearest villages. Destroyer saw them and got even angrier – probably because I was still on his back."

He laughed again. "He kicked every single one of those men. Broke some legs, maybe some organs... I'm not sure, I was only five. When he finally stopped."

Fi-six's voice softened. "I started crying because I was lost."

"I jumped off Destroyer's back, my legs buckling beneath me. I landed hard on the ground, sobbing, snot running down my face. Destroyer, sensing my distress, nuzzled me gently, but I pushed him away, crying harder."

"As I caught my breath, I heard rustling in the woods. A tiny figure emerged from the underbrush, her pointed ears twitching as she approached me. She looked around my age, maybe a bit older, with Big and blue curious eyes.

"Why are you crying?" she asked, her voice like a tiny bell.

I sniffled, turning to face her. "I'm lost," I whispered, my voice shaking.

The little girl's expression changed, her brow furrowing in sympathy... then she burst out laughing. Finn scowled, frustration etched on his face. "What are you laugh at? This isn't funny!"

The girl stopped laughing, jabbed her finger at him, and said, "I'm laughing at you 'cause I am lost as well, but you don't see me crying and balling out my eyes. Also, you have snot running down your nose... that's just gross."

She said making a disgusted face at me.

"Little did I know this was the beginning of our friendship" Fi-six with a smile.
