Chapter 386 - Chapter 386: Absolute Darkness, Right Ahead

Black Zetsu was summoned by Ryosuke while being pinched by the neck like a little chick.

It looked completely confused, not understanding where it was.

Black Zetsu's last memory was still stuck at the decisive battle in Kyoto City, "Ryosuke, we can talk things out properly, no need to start throwing hands right away."

"What are you yapping about."

White Snake slapped Black Zetsu across the face.

Time was tight. They had no time to listen to Black Zetsu ramble. They pulled out its two discs, searched through its memories, and looked for a way to revive Kaguya.

The method was not complicated, nor was it hard to find.

Black Zetsu had spent his entire life striving to revive Kaguya, and the corresponding answers were written in the corners of his memories. A casual search was enough to dig them out,

The so-called "Kaguya" had long since fused with the Ten-Tails. The two were completely one and the same, namely,

Kaguya is the Ten-Tails, and the Ten-Tails is Kaguya.

Among them, the Ten-Tails that Obito controlled was equivalent to Kaguya's physical body.

Black Zetsu, who carried Kaguya's consciousness, was the corresponding soul.

As long as the two were merged through the ritual of "Infinite Tsukuyomi," Otsutsuki Kaguya, this mysterious woman, could reappear in the world.

Ryosuke calculated the corresponding conditions.

'Condition one: Body, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.'

'Condition two: Massive chakra, the nine tailed beasts, and the chakra drawn from ninjas and ordinary people after casting Infinite Tsukuyomi.'

'Condition three, the Sage's body and the Sage's eyes…'

Ryosuke thought for a moment. 'Obito himself has already fused Hashirama Senju's cells and transplanted the Rinnegan. Even though neither truly belongs to him, it's not like they can't be used. It basically fits.'

'And lastly, condition four, Black Zetsu.'

'After all conditions are met, absorb the Ten-Tails into the body, open the Rinne Sharingan on the forehead, and activate Infinite Tsukuyomi toward the moon, and the revival can be achieved.'

Conditions one, three, and four.

At present, all of them were already satisfied.

As for the fourth point, Black Zetsu currently only existed within the domain of Civil War, but consciousness wasn't a physical object anyway. It would be enough to use it once during the revival.

'The key lies in condition two.'

Ryosuke didn't know how much chakra was required to revive Kaguya.

But at Obito's level, it was most likely not enough. To reach the step of reviving Kaguya, massive and pure chakra was required.

He spun the disc in his hand, and a rough idea formed in his mind.

"Have all the tailed beasts and jinchūriki get ready. If it really comes to that, we'll have to trouble them to act as power banks for a while."

At this point, the action plan was set.

Plan A: Use the remaining forty, currently thirty-five minutes of action time to pre-deploy the battlefield and traps, and carry out a head-on assault.

The Sage could indeed see that different choices corresponded to different probabilities.

But when it comes to probabilities, who can really say for sure.

Ryosuke had walked all the way to this point. Now everyone felt it was only natural, but if you went back a few years and said that a young man who escaped from Konoha would, in the near future, sweep across the land and unify the world.

Who would have believed it?

No matter how small the probability, Ryosuke still wanted to try.

Plan B: If a head-on fight doesn't work, revive Kaguya and gamble on the 50% probability.

Plan Z: If even reviving Kaguya doesn't work, or things become even worse, then use Amenominakanushi to find the "pen" and let the Stand undergo ultimate evolution.

"I understand the three plans… but why is it 'Plan Z' and not Plan C?" White Snake asked.

Ryosuke shrugged. "No particular reason. I just thought of it as the 'final' plan, so I casually wrote a Z."

White Snake raised an eyebrow and pointed at Ryosuke's notebook.

"I was thinking it was 'Z' plus 'pen,' put together as a 'show-off plan.' Paired with the terrible consequences of using Amenominakanushi, it reflects the idea of 'glorious in front of others, suffering behind the scenes.' It's pretty funny and thought-provoking."

Ryosuke chuckled. "Give it a rest."

"Alright."

Civil War dispersed, and White Snake disappeared.

Ryosuke knew it had been joking, having noticed Ryosuke's pressure and wanting him to relax a little.

But…

Ryosuke slowly put away his smile and strode out of the history memorial hall.

Unlike the quiet inside, outside was bustling. The entire Kirigakure Village was like a massive machine, operating in an efficient, tightly paced manner.

To avoid causing panic, most ordinary Kirigakure villagers still didn't know exactly what kind of enemy was coming. But there was one thing that was crystal clear in their hearts, even without anyone saying it, the enemy wanted to destroy the hard-won good life they had.

They were even clearer about one thing.

No matter who it was.

Aliens, ancient beings, or whatever other freakish things, so long as they dared to appear…

Then beat the hell out of them.

"Brother Ryosuke."

Sasuke called out loudly. "It's a call from the research institute."

Ryosuke walked over and picked up the phone.

From the other end came Samui's cool, detached voice, "According to your request, the institute's security level has been raised to the highest, and Hidan's head and Orochimaru's disc have been transferred."

"Now I need to confirm with you, should we also transfer Amenominakanushi? Or simply put it directly into your ghost room?"

Based on Uchiha Obito's actions, it was obvious that the evil god White Snake had obtained Amenominakanushi and, after seeing the guidance of fate, chose to act against Ryosuke.

This point had already been mentioned by Mei Terumi to Samui in earlier intelligence exchanges, with emphasis on protecting Amenominakanushi.

But what protection could be better than simply keeping it by Ryosuke's side?

After all, Amenominakanushi was an inanimate object and wouldn't be affected by the rules of the ghost room. Even if the Stand was withdrawn, it wouldn't fall out.

"I can't understand things like 'resetting the timeline,' but according to what you said, as long as Obito or his accomplices can't get Amenominakanushi, he won't participate in the battle, right?" Samui asked.

Ryosuke was silent for a moment, then gently shook his head. "He'll still make a move."

"Even if helping the Otsutsuki could lead to the extinction of all humanity?"

"No, it has nothing to do with that."

Ryosuke said quietly, "I'm just considering Uchiha Obito's actions over the past dozen years. I have no expectations of him as a person."

Would someone who had been a beast their entire life choose to be human at the most important turning point of their life?

Ryosuke would not entrust the fate of humanity to Obito. Holding no expectations at all was the greatest expectation.

"Amenominakanushi doesn't need to be transferred for now. I have an idea…"

A few minutes later, the communication ended.

Ryosuke glanced at the time.

Twenty minutes left.

Both Jiraiya and Tsunade were in Kirigakure Village. With their help, Ryosuke went to Mount Myoboku and Shikkotsu Forest in turn, borrowing a large amount of senjutsu chakra from the two sages.

At this point, Ryosuke's personal strength reached its peak.

Before parting, the two sages each had a brief exchange with Ryosuke.

The Great Toad Sage lowered its eyes. In its pupils was Ryosuke's reflection, yet under a hazy drowsiness, it seemed to be looking at another person, another world.

"Absolute darkness, like a wall, the shadow it casts covers all the futures I can see… Don't worry, I'm not confused. I remember saying this to you before. What I want to say now is…"

The Great Toad Sage slowly raised its aged palm and touched the void ahead.

"It's no longer a shadow."

"I've touched it."
