Chapter 29: IDEA
Inside the black hole dimension, a blinding light suddenly erupted with terrifying power from its center. Dots of colorful hue that had been floating around began to agitate and were pulled irresistibly toward the radiant core.
Although the light dots seemed to resist, all resistance was futile.
Protagonist, Freedom, Ultra Instinct, Willpower, Heaven Rewards Diligence, Shed, Complete Hypnosis, Mastermind, Ocean's Beloved…
These concepts were all ruthlessly sucked into the blinding light "furnace," dissolved into tiny particles of glowing energy rich with mysterious power.
Then, under some higher-dimensional force, they began to be stitched together—transforming again and again like puzzle pieces merging into one another.
Luffy watched the whole process in shock and awe.
For a moment, he felt as if he had lost all power. A terrifying void consumed him, weakness surging from every part of his body. His body—frozen in time along with the space around him—collapsed weakly onto the deck. Fortunately, his appearance and physique remained unchanged, and his past modifications, such as altering the Merry's material properties or enhancing the girls' talents, remained intact.
It was just that losing those concepts dealt a massive blow to him—one that echoed from a higher dimension.
He gasped for breath, gripping the figurehead's goat horns tightly. Memories of his previous life resurfaced.
Fighting against death on a hospital bed… again and again…
It was thrilling.
He felt a long-lost sense of excitement.
"What a pleasing feeling…"
Luffy muttered weakly, inwardly cursing himself for being a masochistic pervert.
His gaze returned to the center of the black hole dimension, where the transformation still continued.
Maybe it lasted a moment.Maybe it lasted a lifetime.
Time perception twisted in that space. Then, the blinding light finally faded, and the dimension returned to its deep, black shade. But in the center—where the light had once been—a small, illusory-real purple sphere now hovered, shimmering with a rainbow glow that drew in all attention.
Luffy's heart began pounding.
"A Semi-God Level Concept!! I gambled right!! As expected of a protagonist's insight, luck, and intuition!"
The previous concepts had all been shimmering dots—beautiful but intangible.
Normally, as long as a lifeform remains mortal, their concepts do not evolve. Concepts reflect the level of the being they belong to. In the world of One Piece, reaching the limit of the mortal level is possible, and even attaining Demi-God status can be achieved through tricks—but to reach Godhood?
Absolutely impossible.
What is a God?
Let's start with a Mortal.
A mortal is a being that relies on flesh and blood—Genetics, DNA, the biological field.
Lifespan, strength, talent—all are born from genetic code. A being with absolute control over their genes is considered a limit mortal.
In the One Piece world, many powers can achieve this. Luffy had just received such a power from Sanju. Even his old Freedom ability was of this nature.
Thus, the Mortal Limit was never an obstacle. Even Demi-God status wasn't.
A Demi-God is a being that operates on the atomic scale. Such an existence might be considered a god by the masses—but not according to the classification in Luffy's cheat.
A true God…
Has a Divine Physique, Divine Mind, and Divine Soul.
A trinity that exists on a quantum, high-dimensional level beyond mortal understanding.
This world didn't have enough resources to push him up the divine ladder—so Luffy sought shortcuts and exploits.
Instead of trying to max out the mortal tier through time, transcendental traits, and sheer grind, he had a better idea:
Use the concepts as fuel. Push a single concept into God-level… and receive a divine feedback boost that would evolve him into a God-lifeform in the shortest time possible.
Fast. Efficient.
Luffy's brainpower, calculations, and deductions were no joke. Not just because of his cheat—Mastermind helped—but even his raw talent and all-around growth included his brain.
The reason he seemed stupid or unimpressive was due to side-effects from those old concepts.
In that brief moment of clarity—when his Willpower reached world-limit condensation—he ran thousands of calculations and simulations. He deduced the optimal path forward.
And now… he had succeeded.
He had created a brand new concept, born of his own 'ideas,' exploiting a bug in the cheat system.
Now all that remained was to harvest this world's characteristics—and he wouldn't stop until his concept reached the next level.
Time and space around him resumed.
His thoughts were clear, undisturbed.
Luffy rose slowly, examining every inch of his body.
No suppressed luck backlash. No constant, exaggerated growth. The Devil Fruit and 'Freedom' hacks were absent.Even the weather—dark skies, booming thunder, furious rain—was something he hadn't seen since transmigrating.
He felt as if he'd finally found himself.
Looking at the sea, his reflection remained handsome and radiant with charm. That hadn't changed. Even though his growth spurt had ended, his body, mind, and will were far beyond anything on this planet.
His body could withstand Whitebeard's fury without injury. His will was still unshaken—though he no longer had the Willpower concept that could create things out of nothing.
His growth was now slow, almost snail-paced compared to before.
He had lost all exaggerated traits—like the sea protecting him or the overwhelming luck that harmed others—but he wasn't flustered at all.
His eyes were burning with focus as they locked onto the purple Semi-Divine Concept Sphere.
With a thought—the concept merged.
There was no earth-shaking explosion, no crazy power-up.
But Luffy's eyes widened in disbelief.
"What a terrifying ability… and it's perfectly aligned with my vision."
[IDEA]: Your thoughts are supreme.
Short. Concise. But terrifying.
A bug-level, god-tier idealism ability.
Let's compare.
Before, he needed 50% of his Willpower to create a single ability on par with the Nika Fruit or Mother Flame.
Now? One thought was enough to create thousands of such abilities—with even higher limits.
Imagine that kind of energy conversion…
And that's just one thought.
A single thought could level a continent.A stream of thoughts could wash the earth's surface.A deep thought could shatter a planet.
Before, he needed steady growth to reach Demi-God level. Now?
One thought could make him a god—or a common civilian. One thought could grant divine luck—or a cursed chain of misfortune. One thought could change the laws of the world.
Such an ability was terrifying.
Thankfully—it was active.
If it were passive, the world would've burst the moment he merged with the concept.
Luffy's excitement surged.
Though he had calculated this result, seeing it materialize in reality was still stunning.
And just as his joy peaked—Baphomet reached the summit, circling into a U-turn amid the girls' endless cries of excitement and amusement.
The Grand Line was finally in sight.
