Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Champa Wants to Hold a Competition

With the blessing of the super bloodline, Rayden's height increased dramatically. Looking down at Frieza was like staring at a child.

Rayden said to Frieza condescendingly, "Frieza, do you think you're powerful again?"

"Hateful! This form of mine is incomparable to my golden form! Give me your life!"

Frieza raised his right hand, concentrated his ki into his index finger, and fired a red beam at Rayden.

"Death Beam!"

Rayden smirked, unconcerned by the incoming attack. He casually swatted the beam away with a slap. "Frieza, don't get so worked up! I won't look down on you like this again."

Frieza growled. He could've realized his wish to grow taller on Namek, but that bald Earthling had interfered. Now, he was being humiliated again.

"Ahhh!" Frieza roared as his aura surged and he charged at Rayden.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A fierce battle erupted in midair, the shockwaves echoing across the skies.

"Lord Frieza, let me help you!"

Tagma shouted, his entire body wrapped in red flames as he surged forward with all his energy.

Rayden raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

This Tagma's talent was indeed impressive. After five years of training in the Spirit Time Chamber, his strength now rivaled that of a Super Saiyan Red like Trunks.

Tagma suddenly appeared behind Rayden, throwing a heavy punch. But to Rayden, moving at full speed, Tagma's attack was no different from an ordinary one.

Rayden grinned, and just as Frieza rushed toward him, he used Instant Transmission.

With a thud, Tagma's punch connected—right into Frieza's gut.

Frieza smacked Tagma's bald head in fury. "Tagma! Are you trying to kill me?!"

Tagma flailed in panic. "No, Lord Frieza! Rayden disappeared! I didn't mean to—"

Rayden doubled over with laughter. "Hahahaha! This is too good!"

Fuming, Frieza raised his right hand, summoning a massive red energy ball radiating intense heat.

"Supernova!" he shouted, launching the energy bomb at Rayden.

Just as the supernova closed in—

Swish!

A stream of colorful light flashed between Rayden and the attack.

A man holding a staff appeared. "Oh my! That's no way to greet someone!"

A purple cat-like figure snorted and kicked the energy ball away with one leg.

Boom!

The Supernova detonated in space, lighting up the void.

It was Beerus and Whis.

Frieza quickly dragged Tagma over. "Lord Beerus, please give me justice!"

He began an elaborate sob story—his years of diligent service, his death at the hands of Saiyans, his recent resurrection, and being locked up by Rayden. He wanted Beerus to eliminate the Saiyans for good.

Beerus tilted his head. "Oh? You're Frieza? You didn't look like this before. And your strength wasn't this high either."

"Lord Beerus, it's me! I've just undergone a transformation!"

Beerus waved dismissively. "Frieza, stay out of the Saiyans' business. And stop hunting them."

"Ah...?" Frieza's jaw dropped. After all his hard work, Beerus still wouldn't support him?

"Ah what?! You heard me!" Beerus snapped.

"Yes, Lord Beerus!" Frieza replied meekly.

Rayden looked curious. "Whis, what brings you two here? Didn't feel like eating on Earth?"

Beerus coughed and motioned to Whis. "You explain."

Whis smiled. "Of course. Lord Champa, the God of Destruction from Universe 6, learned that Lord Beerus has awakened. He now wants a competition between our two universes."

Frieza's ears perked up. "Lord Beerus, what's the prize?"

Whis answered, "The winner receives seven Wishing Orbs. They can grant any wish."

Frieza's eyes sparkled. "Lord Beerus! My subordinate and I would like to join this competition!"

He dreamed of winning and wishing to grow 30 centimeters taller. He'd finally be able to look down on Goku and Vegeta!

Beerus sized up Tagma. "He's pretty strong. You two can join. Rayden, gather Goku and the others—we need ten fighters."

"Wait," Rayden said. "Wasn't it five fighters per universe?"

Whis looked startled. "How did you know that?"

Beerus shrugged. "Originally, it was five. But Champa found so many strong candidates in his universe that he changed the rules to ten fighters each."

Rayden grinned. "Fine by me. I didn't meet Champa last time, but he'll definitely show up for this. Broly and I can finally get some payback."

"Good," Beerus yawned. "The tournament starts in three days. We'll meet at Bulma's place on Earth."

"Got it," Rayden replied.

With that, Beerus and Whis turned into streaks of light and vanished.

Rayden then waved his hand, opening a dimensional wall in the air.

He turned to Frieza. "Coming with us?"

Frieza grinned. "Of course. I'm not afraid of you anymore!"

He and Tagma exchanged glances and followed Rayden into the dimensional wall.
