Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: The Girl And Bell

Ahaan sat up in bed, breathing hard.

His hands were cold.

His body still felt like it was on fire.

He looked around.

Everything in his room seemed normal again.

No black handprints.

No smoke.

No Jai.

But the journal was still there.

Open on his chest.

And those creepy words were written:

"Next, the girl with the bell."

Ahaan whispered, "Who is she?"

He turned the page.

A drawing appeared—

a little girl, sitting in a dark basement.

She had long black hair, and in her hand was a small silver bell.

There were scratch marks on the walls behind her.

And beside her picture, the name was written:

"Niva — Room 13, basement. She never made it out."

Ahaan closed the journal and stood up.

He felt like someone was watching him.

The shadows in his room looked longer than before.

The mirror was foggy.

Even though the room wasn't cold.

Then—

Ting... Ting... Ting...

A bell rang.

Right outside his bedroom door.

He froze.

The sound was soft, but it sent chills down his spine.

He tiptoed to the door and opened it slowly.

The hallway was empty.

Dark.

Silent.

Until—

Ting... Ting... Ting...

It came from downstairs.

He followed the sound.

Each step felt heavier.

As he reached the living room, the TV turned on by itself.

Static.

Then an image appeared.

A girl.

Sitting in the dark.

Holding a bell.

Ahaan whispered, "Niva…"

The girl on the screen looked up—

as if she heard him.

Her eyes were all black.

Then the screen went black again.

Suddenly, the journal fell open in his hand.

A map of the orphanage basement appeared.

There was a red circle drawn over a room.

Room 13.

It was still there.

Ahaan understood.

If he wanted to stop these hauntings, he had to go back.

Back to that place.

Back to the orphanage.

That night, Ahaan snuck out again.

He walked through the cold streets with the journal in his hand.

When he reached the gate of the old orphanage, it was already open.

He stepped inside.

The building groaned like it was alive.

Cobwebs hung from the ceiling.

Dust choked the air.

He found the basement stairs behind a broken door.

And slowly… he started going down.

It got darker with every step.

The air felt wet.

Heavy.

And then—

Ting... Ting... Ting...

The bell.

Louder now.

Closer.

His flashlight flickered.

Then went out.

Ahaan stood in complete darkness.

Then—

a whisper behind him:

"You forgot me…"

He turned fast.

No one was there.

But he felt something cold pass by him.

Like a shadow brushing his shoulder.

The bell rang again.

Right next to his ear.

He followed the sound until he reached Room 13.

The door was half open.

He pushed it slowly.

Inside was a small room.

Broken toys.

Burned walls.

And in the corner—

a little girl sitting alone.

Long black hair.

Silver bell in her hand.

She looked up.

Niva.

Her face was pale.

Eyes dark and empty.

She stood slowly.

The bell rang with every step she took.

"You left me," she whispered.

"They all did."

Ahaan stepped back.

"I'm sorry… I didn't know."

She raised the bell.

It shook on its own.

And suddenly—

Ahaan saw flames all around the room.

The past.

The fire from years ago.

Children screaming.

Smoke rising.

And Niva—locked in, crying, no one helping her.

Ahaan fell to his knees.

"I didn't know! I was just a baby…"

Niva came closer.

"Then why do I still see your face in the fire?" she asked.

The bell rang again.

Everything turned black.

When Ahaan woke up… he was lying outside the orphanage.

The journal was beside him.

A new page had appeared.

Words written in red:

"One more found. More still lost."

"The whispers will guide you next."

Now...
