Chapter 43 – Give
"In minutes…" Jack muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, his face stiff with disbelief. "He wiped them all out in less than three minutes…"
Even saying the words aloud felt absurd. Jack had fought monsters firsthand—had bled, strained, and nearly died to cut through even a handful of them. He knew exactly how relentless those creatures were, how their numbers alone could drown even the most skilled fighter. And yet, Sommeil had done the impossible, erasing a sea of enemies as if they were no more than dust in the wind. No human—no creature on Earth—should've been capable of such a feat.
"Hm, interesting. He isn't half bad," Lune mused as she floated lazily around Jack's shoulder, her tone calm but her eyes sharp, following Sommeil's movements.
Jack blinked, his throat dry. "How did he…?"
"Hmm… it seems he used his Main Chronical," Lune replied, her voice carrying a faint note of curiosity. "Quite a strong one at that… and very interesting."
