"Your Majesty, there is an effective way to find out if the person you felt was Her Majesty Liliath or not," Elder Yasoria said, her tone measured yet cautious, making Zevryn's head snap up to look at her.
"What is it, Elder Yasoria? Tell me, whatever it is, I will do anything to make it happen," Zevryn said with utmost devotion. His voice carried both command and longing, the kind that only a man torn between faith and grief could possess.
He could do anything right now to get solid proof that his Liliath was really back — that his heart had not deceived him.
Elder Yasoria sighed, her shoulders lowering slightly as she looked at the emperor before her. His eyes- always fierce and unreadable now shimmered faintly with that same ache she had once seen years ago, the day he lost his queen.
She prayed inwardly, "Moon Goddess, please let it not be the case of a second chance mate but what His Majesty's heart truly wishes it to be."
