Isla POV
I stirred awake and blinked multiple times, trying to adjust my eyes to the light rays that filled the room.
I was a little confused, the unfamiliar environment didn't register immediately. Even though my body is stiff, I reluctantly sit up. I checked the time noticing it was way before dawn, knowing the type of exhaustion I went through yesterday, waking this early was unlike me.
Feeling anxious, I looked around the room looking for any sign of what could have caused my wakefulness but I couldn't find anything wrong.
I pressed my palm on the bed which was soft and comfortable, the lighting is perfect, and the door remained firmly locked.
I managed to drag myself out of bed to the bathroom as signs of sleep have left my body. I relieved myself and rinsed my mouth that felt a little numb from the wine I took last night.
