Chapter 12 - The Battle To Retake Herta Space Station (III)

Walking down the hallway, Himiko swung her arms around, happy to be with her new 'fruends' (that's what she calls them as, dunno about them), as they travel to save fellow researchers and civilians...

As heroes

"U-umm Ms. Himiko, I heard from others that you're not from 'here'...?"

Himiko stopped in her tracks, slowly turning back towards Asta. Her mouth grew wider as she mustered the biggest smile she could muster. "Yep! I come from a world far, far, away, where we all have different kinds of superpowers. Some can jump high, some can fly, and some can even change reality with their words. It's so fun there! Ahahahah!"

Clapping her hands in ecstasy, Himiko joyfully replied to Asta, who began squirming at the sight. Seeing Asta like that, Himiko's smile quickly wavered, knowing that her new 'friend' was getting angsty. I see she is just like the rest of them...

Swish!

"Get back everyone!"

With swift feet, Arlan charged straight at the attacking Reaver, lightning crackling on his hands. One punch later, and all that was left was a charred body, which promptly disappeared as black smoke. "You okay guys..."

Though Asta did not see it, Himiko did. She saw how Arlan's gaze lingered for an extra second on Asta, before going to her. Ooh, someone's in loovee...

Just then, they heard cries of help coming from the front. "Help! Someone, please help! Archenio has lost a lot of blood! Someone, please help!"

Asta and Arlan quickly ran to the wounded researcher, who was trying her ebstvto stymy a green haired man's blood from running out. "Ms. Asta and Mr. Arlan! Have you come to save us?"

Asta and Arlan quickly looked at the wound. Seeing it too deep and bleeding profusely, the knew, deep in their hearts, it was too late. "Getriebe, I, I don't know how to tell you this, but you have to keep calm–"

"He doesn't have long to live."

"Arlan!" Punching him hard on his shoulder, Asta chastised him for being too straight. "Don't dampened her mood like this! Look, we'll try our best, okay Getriebe..."

Seeing how the woman named Getriebe was trying to save her beloved despite the hopelessness, Himiko felt something rise in her heart. Even though they hated her, they did not outwardly push her away, which made her feel happy to be of. Taking a deep breath, she called out to them.

"Hey, move. I can heal him..."

Without waiting for a response, she walked up to the man, before grabbing a vialnof blood from her back. Flipping open the top, she drank contents in one swift motion, to the curiosity of the watchers. Their eyes widened in surprise as the young girl began transforming right in front of them.

Her round ears began to elongate, tips becoming pointed. Hair began to turn bright gold, becoming long and smooth in the process. Her face, originally cute, became mature, expression molding, turning her more regal, just like a queen.

Before their gawking mouths, Himiko turned into a bonafide elf

"Heal!"

With a bright glow, her hands illuminated in the air, light projecting themselves onto the wounded man. Jaws still wide open, they saw the man's wounded legs stop bleeding, before regenerating back into a brand new leg.

Seeing him healed, the woman turned to Himiko, hand over mouth. I knew it, they are just like the others–

"Oh my God, thank you hero! Thank you for saving my beloved! How can I ever thank you!"

"Wait, you're not scared?"

"No, that was really, really, cool!"

Asta ran forward, her eyes gleaming with stars. "How long can this transformation last? Do you need to drink something as a catalyst to start your transformation? Did you drink blood? What kind of powers do you have? Is this what you call a 'quirk'?..."

Flabbergasted at the bombarding Asta, Himiko grew confused at the sight of the young researcher questioning her fervently. She could not grapple at the sight of the young researcher, whom she belived to hate her, talking to her as if she was the most interesting thing in the world.

"I-I thought you hated me...?"

Taken aback at the question, Asta relaised that the young woman in front of her must have taken offense at the sight of her reeling back when she first smiled. "Nah, I never hated you! I was just taken aback at how you...looked like, that's all..."

Arlan interjected from the right, telling Himiko what they really thought of her. "Your smile was creepy as fuck, that's why Ms. Asta was uncomfortable."

"Wait, really!?"
