Alvick's POV
I've had enough! I'm tired of giving Ryu chances over and over. I don't care anymore—I'm ending this here. Mailen was mine, and she will forever be mine.
Mailen's POV
At Home
I was scrolling through social media when I saw it—Ryu's message request. Wait… what!? After months of silence, he's suddenly adding me? My heart skipped a beat. I quickly messaged Alvick to tell him.
I expected him to say, "Block him." But instead… he told me to talk to him. My mind went blank. Confused, I did as he asked.
Ryu's first message:
"Hey Mailen, how's it going? Are you unhappy or stressed? I'm worried about you!"
Are you serious?! Why is he trying to make me feel like Alvick never cared?!
I replied with a simple "Hy." That seemed enough for him—he was excited, sending long messages, and I just kept replying "oh," "yeah," and nothing more.
Then he asked,
"I have a question for you. Do you like Alvick? Because there are a lot of rumors."
I tried to avoid it, but he started manipulating me… and finally, I had to admit it: I love Alvick.
His texts saying, "You are the only one for me, you can never be replaced" made me feel guilty. He wanted me all to himself.
Alvick's POV
Seeing those texts, I lost it.
"Mailen! Now it's enough! What kind of sh!t is he speaking? You're mine! No one has the right to claim you!" I couldn't hold back my anger.
At School
I confronted Ryu and ended their friendship. They were talking, making Mailen curious. She was staring, trying to overhear, but I noticed her. Slowly, I turned and smiled at her.
Ally whispered excitedly,
"Mailen! Look! Alvick just smiled at youuu!!"
I smiled back. Time passed, the class ended, and everyone left. Mailen texted me immediately.
At Home
Me: "Hyy Alvick, what happened? I saw you and Ryu talking."
Him: "Haha yes, ended everything."
Me: "Oh really? Alr. My mom's calling, igtg."
Him: "Sure. Bye, take care, love."
Finally! No more Ryu meddling. I could be happy with Alvick! Everything felt perfect.
The Next Day
I added him again and texted,
"Hyy, how are you?"
Instead, he replied coldly,
"I don't want to talk to you."
Alvick? Hello? What's wrong?
I pressed him,
"Nah, nothing's wrong. What could it be?" he taunted.
After forcing him to talk, he finally said:
"Can't say much. I thought you were loyal to me, but you aren't. All I can say is… well played."
My heart froze. Tears welled up. What did I even do?!
Finally, he spilled the truth: Ryu told him I cheated.
Wtf?! Cheat? I was never in a relationship with Ryu! I clearly told him multiple times, "We are just friends." But Alvick believed Ryu over me.
"Yes, but he said you liked him," Alvick said.
I snapped in frustration:
"Yes, I told him… but I never sincerely liked him! He's twisting my words, showing you incomplete chats to make me look guilty. I was always honest! I complimented him as a friend. I texted him as a friend. Nothing more!"
"Don't you trust me, Alvick?" I asked, voice shaking.
"You say you do… but if you really did, you would have talked to me before trusting Ryu. Didn't you think he said all this out of jealousy?"*
"Enough, Mailen!" Alvick yelled, frustrated, still believing Ryu over me.
