On her way back to the girls, Aveline's path was intercepted by Atlas.
"Hey gorgeous. Is everything okay?" He asked.
She looked up at him, and the smile on her face from talking to Seth completely wiped off. "Why are there so many cameras around?"
"Insane stuff, right? I've asked the same question. They're saying the parents want it this way. To be fair, I think it's media propaganda at its finest. Reese's dad is going into politics," he whispered conspiratorially.
"Yeah, that explains why they're celebrating the birthday of an unconscious man," she blurted out.
"Pretty much," he agreed.
"Well, I wish him success," she said, and moved her feet to leave.
"Hey, not so fast. Stay with me for a while. I miss you." He pouted.
That would have been the cutest thing to her two weeks ago.
But not anymore.
"I wish I could, but there is something I need to do with the girls. I'll just see you later okay?"
Before he could even reply, she was well on her way.
