The next morning, Aveline wrapped up the painting of Atlas she had completed in a glass frame, ready to give them to him.
She planned for it to be her last act of friendliness towards him, and she wasn't even going to accept his payment idea.
After that, she would truly focus on herself, and her goals.
She had walked to the door with the frame in her hand, and was about to step out when she encountered Joanne who was also coming in with Daniel.
"Good morning Aveline!" Daniel hugged her legs.
"Good morning my sweet boy."
Her gaze shifted to see Joanne holding a flower bouquet.
"Did you get flowers, Joanne?" She smiled teasingly.
"I think they're for you, Ave. I saw them in front of your door," she said.
Aveline frowned. "For me? From who?"
"Uncle Atlas of course. Who else?" Daniel yelled.
Her frown deepened. Why would Atlas buy me flowers?
She shook the thought from her head, because it was too impossible to be real.
