Aeron went into his room, angry. He paced for a while before sitting down, trying to calm his thoughts. A few moments later, the door opened quietly and Nyella walked in.
"Do not be offended by what she said," Nyella told him. "She only wanted to make you angry at your kingdom."
"I am not offended," Aeron replied. "And I cannot be angry. Even the king himself apologized to me. It is just… what she said reminded me of my father. Everyone speaks well of him. They say he was a perfect man, someone even the king respected deeply. I keep wondering what kind of life he lived that made him so honorable. And if I can ever come close to that."
Nyella smiled gently. "Of course you can. In fact, you already are. And if you keep going this way, you will even surpass him. How old are you now?"
"Sixteen," Aeron said. "But will turn seventeen soon."
