The sound of baby laughs and mumbling woke Arianna up, only to see Liam in his father's arms, while Antonio sat in a chair facing her. Apparently, he was waiting for her to wake up.
She sat up instantly and went for Liam, "My baby.." She cried, but half in her footsteps when Antonio pointed a gun at her and that made the young woman freeze in her steps.
What a perfect way to start her morning.
Tears pooled at her eyes instantly, was he finally going to do it?
She thought.
He's going to kill her right infront of her baby.
"At least let me touch my child, Antonio. I'm really going insane here." Arianna confessed.
She wasn't able to sleep very well last night, and had woken up to find Antonio by her side who handcuffed her hands to the bed, in case she woke up to run in the night.
"You need to tidy up if you are to touch my son,Arianna." Antonio said, smirking at the helpless look on her face.
It was too early to torment her life, but he's sure going to miss her in the few days that he's going to leave, which was why he's trying to treasure every moment he had with her and their son. Of course, she had no idea that he's leaving for a business trip.
Without waiting for him to say anything else, Arianna rushed into the bathroom to tidy up. She would once in a while look out to check if he was still at the room with Liam.
Knowing Antonio, he might be lying about letting her touch Liam, but she's not in any position to argue with him right now.
This was a cruel nightmare for her.
Liam was right infront of her, but she couldn't hold him.
What sort of monster does that if not Antonio?
He knew that her son was the only weakness that she had, and he was using him to get her to do what he wants.
She came out of the bathroom wearing a robe because that was better than coming out naked. Antonio would like that, but she would rather die than to let him see or touch her again.
Just as she came closer to carry Liam, he stopped her again hefore pointing at the breakfast that was ontop of the bed.
"I can eat late..," She tried to speak.
"You will eat right here, now!" He insisted.
This was punishment for not eating yesterday, how could she eat when she had no idea whether her baby boy is being fed or treated properly.
She sat down on the bed and started to eat, Antonio's unwavering gaze set on her made her feel uncomfortable. But she looked at Liam to see him playing with a toy in his hands.
He looked good.
He didn't look like the maids were treating him badly, yet, she didn't trust any of them, especially with Morgana out there. She had no idea what that woman's problem was, it's not like she's Antonio's mother.
It was at this moment that Ariana realized that she hasn't seen Antonio's father, or his stepsister and mother. They weren't at the family house yet she had met his stepsister, and she's the sweetest being that she had met unlike her mother.
She choked on her eggs and went for water instantly, it took a time for her to be done with eating and he waited still for her to finish every single thing on her plate.
The moment she took a step close to him and Liam, he did nothing to stop before she carried their son. She burst out into tears and held him tight, as if Antonio was going to change his mind soon and take him away.
Arianna could swear that she could breathe properly once again. With Liam here with her, she feared nothing aside from the monster looking at both of them, with an empty look in his eyes.
She had no idea what was running through his mind, but she's grateful that he didn't hurt Liam. He's an innocent baby and had nothing to do with what's going on between them.
Arianna turned around to feed Liam, but Antonio wasn't having it.
"What do you think you are doing?" He asked, not getting why she was so keen on hiding that seductive body from him, when she knew quite well who that body belonged to.
"I.. have to feed Liam." She said, trying hard not to stutter.
"Then feed him. You didn't deserve to see him, Arianna. Do you actually think i will be merciful enough to let you see him again if you keep annoying me?" He glared at her.
Arianna didn't do otherwise but let him watch her feed their son, his eyes still on her.
He's such a pervert.
Arianna said, hoping that she didn't say that out loud.
"How was the pregnancy?" Antonio asked.
He tried to engage in a conversation with her since that's what they were lacking, communication and understanding.
"It was..fine." She lied.
Arianna didn't want to talk to him, she didn't see any reason why she should tell him about her pregnant journey. He wasn't there for her and that reminded her of Andrew.
Was he still alive?
She had no idea.
"Arianna, I know when you are lying, so I'm going to ask you one more.."Antonio said, getting pissed off.
"It was tough." She cut him short.
"Cs or normal?" He added.
Arianna breathe in deeply. She won't want to go through the same pain that she went at the hospital anymore, but she couldn't be more than happy to hold her bundle of joy in her arms, Liam was worth the pain she went through.
Antonio already knew everything, since he runs this city. He must have done an investigation, she just didn't know why he wanted to hear her talk about it.
"At first it was normal.." Ariana started, before her voice started to break. "But the pain was much.. I just couldn't.." She mumbled lowly.
Antonio breathed in loudly before he stood up and walked over to where she was with their son.
He tilted her head up and cleaned the tears that soaked her face up.
"I'm sorry that i was not there for you both, I promise i will make it up to you." He said to her and he meant what he said, Arianna knew that but she didn't want whatever it was he was offering.
"Why me?" She asked him. "You could get whatever woman you want, why choose me, Antonio? I don't.."
"Shh, babygirl. It's too early to argue." He shushed her.
"I can't do this anymore." She said. "I don't want Liam to grow up to .."
"To end up like me, yes!" He snapped at her which made Liam jump in her arms from how loud he spoke. "I know that I'm not a good man, Arianna but the last thing i will do is to hurt my son or let any harm come to him."
"How do you know that?" She asked him. "You have a lot of enemies who would come barging in any moment from now once it's out that Liam is existing.. he doesn't need to live in your sort of world, he deserves a chance to live like any normal kid."
"Well, he's not just any normal kid. He's the son of Antonio Blackheart and that's all he needs. You can't change that Arianna and neither will i let you leave with my son, so, the moment you hurry up and sign those documents the better for you both." Antonio said, before standing up to fix his watch.
"Antonio.."
"This conversation is over, Arianna. He stays with me, and you don't have a choice either." He said authoritatively before coming up to peck her lips and left even before she could say anything.
His mind was made up.
His son stays with him.
She could leave if she want to, but she won't leave because of her son, so he had her where exactly he wanted her to be.
